The milkshake brand famous in India- Keventers has forayed into the Middle East with the launch of many outlets in Dubai and Sharjah. Their newest outlet opened in the vibrant beachfront attraction, La MerDubai.
Recently on our visit to La Mer, when my little girl was craving for milkshake, we decided to give Keventers a try. It is located in La Mer Central.
When I quizzed the Keventers team about the history of this iconic brand, this is what they had to say:
It was 1925 when Edward Keventer, a proud Swedish dairy technologist established his dairy plant in India. Following this, Keventers slowly started emerging as a prominent dairy industry in India by the 1940’s. Ram Krishna Dalmia acquired the Keventers dairy project and a company was created by the name ‘Edward Keventers Successors’. At this point, things began to escalate quickly. One of the most remembered products were various milkshakes sold as flavored milk.
The original Keventers brand is being revived to provide the next generation with premium quality milkshakes that is super fresh just like you get in a dairy.
The La Mer branch of Keventers is a trendy and chic venue with indoor and outdoor seating area. Loved the old typewriter in the corner and the painted milk bottles.
Their menu features a good variety of milkshakes, slush, lemonade and hot beverages. They have milkshakes from classic, fruity, thick to premium ones.
We tried their Nutella Marshmallow Shake and Bubblegum Shake. Both the milkshakes were perfectly blended and tasted amazing. We also ordered the Unicorn Slush which was too sour.
