Dubai’s pleasant winter season is the best time of the year for Al Fresco dining. And many restaurants, lounge and bars are offering Al Fresco experience. Yes, I love this time of the year and make the most of it.
One of my favorite restaurants-The Croft which is located in the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites launched a new BBQ. And hubs, our little girl and I visited them last Saturday.
Here’s what team Croft has to say about their BBQ concept:
If there is one thing the British do well, it’s a BBQ in the garden with friends and family at the slightest hint of sunshine. As the cool and balmy winter weather descends over Dubai, diners are blissfully returning to the outdoors. To help you make the most of the ‘al fresco’ season, The Croft has launched BBQ Saturdays.
The BBQ happens every Saturday at The Croft from 12:30pm-3:30pm with Happy Hour prices applicable on beverages. The food is served as a 3-course-meal from their special BBQ Saturdays a la carte menu and we get to choose our appetizers, mains/grills and desserts.
The Setting of the BBQ is on the lush green terrace overlooking Dubai Marina. The atmosphere is cool, casual and relaxed. Talented singer and guitarist Sam Packwood provides live entertainment.
Its a family friendly venue, our little girl had a ball, playing in their kids corner.
As we were waiting for our drinks to arrive, we were served freshly baked Garlic Bread with dips. The garlic bread was fresh out of the oven and just melted in our mouth.
For our drinks, we ordered Wine. From their appetizer section you can choose any two salads for just AED 80. We tried their Fregula Pasta Salad, Triple Beets and Grilled Butternut, Potato Salad and Artichoke Salad. The salads were light and tasty. Great way to start a BBQ lunch.
For the mains, grilled items include meat, seafood and veg dishes, all served with grilled vegetables, cream spinach and mash. Top picks from the chef include Welsh lamb chops, smoked chicken, cheese sausage pinwheel, tenderloin, seafood platter and The Croft’s signature burger.
As we are vegetarians, we opted for the grilled feta and braised leeks, asparagus, confit heritage tomatoes. The chef also sent us Gnocchi. We loved our mains, they were wholesome and moreish.
Dessert was a decadent affair. We tried three of their amazing desserts- The Croft Cheesecake, White and Milk Chocolate Mousse and Tipsy Trifle for Two. Each of the three desserts had their own unique and distinct flavor and taste. We loved them all.
The good food and drinks is complimented by outstanding service and warm hospitality. What are you planning on Saturday afternoon? Why don’t you try the BBQ Saturdays at The Croft! You can thank me later.
