Izu Brasserie and Bakery Launched in City Walk Dubai

Izu Brasserie and Bakery in City Walk Dubai

Last month I was invited to the media launch of Chef Izu’s latest concept- Izu Brasserie and Bakery. This concept is a casual and informal dining spot with the soul of a traditional brassiere.

Izu Brassiere and Bakery is located at LE BHV Marais in City Walk, Dubai. Its a great new addition to the thriving restaurant scene in City Walk.

Chef Izu is a talented and well respected chef and he is the brain behind award-winning outlets like The Lighthouse, La Serre and La Petite Maison. And you can expect nothing but the best from his new offering.

Bakeries in Dubai

Izu Brasserie and Bakery has an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Its divided into two parts- the Brasserie and Bakery. It has a cosy and homey vibe. A great place for friends and family to gather and enjoy a good meal.

They also have a spacious outdoor dining area. The key feature of the venue is the open kitchen that is inspired by chef Izu’s own home.

The menu of the Brasserie features Mediterranean and Italian dishes for lunch and dinner, where as the Bakery offers a sumptuous spread of freshly baked goodies, light bites and freshly brewed coffee that is perfect for breakfast and brunch.

The minute I entered the bakery, I was hit by the aroma of freshly baked muffins, cakes, croissants and other baked goodies. And that made me very hungry.

The shelves of the bakery were filled with freshly baked treats and I helped myself to some of their goodies. Liked most of their cakes, pies and pastries that I tried.

Avocado toast

But my favorite was the Avocado and Strawberry Toast that were served to my table along with coffee. The bakery has an all-day-breakfast menu that includes a range of classic brekkie specials that is worth checking out.

Passion fruit cheesecake

I also hopped over to their Brasserie and tried few dishes like their freshly baked bread with dips, mountain tomato, burrata and desserts like tiramisu, passion fruit cheesecake, caramel cake and crème brûlée tart.

While their bread with dips and burrata was very good, the mountain tomato was disappointing as the tomato was raw. Except for the bland and flavorless crème brûlée tart, all the other desserts were outstanding.

Izu Brasserie and Bakery offers high quality food made with fresh ingredients that is sourced locally. A great spot for good food with good company in a welcoming atmosphere.
