Homegrown food concept Ghaf Kitchen that was founded in 2012 was the first to launch the food truck phenomenon to the UAE. Now this popular restaurant on wheels has a new home. On Saturday we went to check out the popular Ghaf Kitchen in its new address.
The new location is at Dubai’s state of the art fresh food market- Waterfront Market in Deira. The Waterfront Market replaces one of Dubai’s historic markets and the new Waterfront Market will be a hub for fresh food shopping in the region.
Ghaf Kitchen is thrilled to join a centre where all ingredients and menus will be created and prepared freshly everyday.
It was our first visit to the Waterfront Market in Deira, but thanks to Google maps, we didn’t have any difficulty finding it.
The Ghaf Kitchen is quite literally a 5 star restaurant on wheels rather than a food truck. It offers an intimate, interactive and charming dining experience. The kind of experience that leaves a lasting impression.
Their bespoke menu features a range of fresh selection including Fresh Catch Burrito, Spicy Rice, Ghaf Burger etc. We visited Ghaf Kitchen for a late breakfast and tried out their breakfast menu.
We loved the cute, earthy and Instagrammable seating arrangement. The first thing we ordered was their freshly brewed cup of artisanal Coffee. Their amazing coffee will please any hardcore coffee lover.

Scrambled Eggs on toast was super soft, light and fluffy. It was a great way to start our morning with this nourishing meal.
Breakfast Pudla or besan ka cheela is a popular savory pancake in India and it was served with chickpeas. It was simple yet very delicious. A must-try at Ghaf Kitchen if you ask me.
I know rice is a bit heavy for breakfast but when I saw Spicy Rice in their other menu, I couldn’t resist it. The Spicy Rice was spicy, flavorful and utterly delicious. It was served with sour cream and house made salsa.
We rounded off the breakfast with two of their delectable doughnuts- Chocolate Doughnut and Glazed Doughnut.
We enjoyed the rich, flavor-packed and tasty breakfast at Ghaf Kitchen. We felt instantly energized. Have you visited Ghaf Kitchen? If you haven’t then you are seriously missing out on some fab food and coffee.
