How do you keep yourself hydrated in Dubai’s summer? I don’t feel like eating anything heavy, all I want to eat is ice cream and fruits apart from drinking fresh fruit juices. I was back again in one of my favorite gourmet ice cream parlour for a cool summer treat.
Scoopi Cafe is a gourmet ice cream parlour situated in Jumeirah Beach Road. The ice creams at Scoopi are prepared fresh, using liquid nitrogen. Hence, its frozen at extremely low temperatures and you can expect a creamy and smooth texture.
Scoopi Cafe is famous for serving the most expensive ice cream in Dubai. Their signature Black Diamond ice cream costs AED 2,999. It is a liquid nitrogen ice cream with the taste of Madagascar vanilla, flavored with world’s most expensive saffron from Iran, topped with slices of black truffles from Italy and garnished with 23 carat edible gold.
The Black Diamond ice cream is served in a handcrafted Versace bowl along with a silver spoon. Upon buying this ice cream, you can get to take it home. Hopefully, one day I’ll get to try it. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Scoopi Cafe is a small and cosy place. It’s not like your regular ice cream parlour where your order is served from the display counter. At Scoopi, once you place your order, the ice creams are freshly made.
Scoopi serves ice creams, specialty sundaes, unique ice creams, sorbets and milkshakes. They offer sugar free and vegan ice creams too. Scoopi also offers some of the finest handcrafted chocolates.
On my first visit I had tried their Rose And Chilly ice cream and loved it. This time I tried the Belgian Waffle with a scoop of Dark Chocolate and Madagascar Vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate sauce. It tasted heavenly. The portion size was big and it can be shared between two people.
Next I ordered their Salted Caramel With Popcorn ice cream which was highly recommended by some of my friends. I am glad I ordered this ice cream, as it was utterly delicious, rich and super creamy.
Finally I ordered Saffron Pistachio in an edible Chocolate Cup. This ice cream was garnished with two kinds of nuts- pistachio and salted pecan and topped with maple syrup. You can customize your toppings according to your choice or taste. This ice cream was a decadent treat, I relished both the ice cream as well as the edible chocolate cup.
The ice creams are excellent, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Scoopi Cafe is a must-visit place for all ice cream lovers.
