My list of comfort food is endless, but on top of that list is sandwich. Nothing tastes better than a freshly prepared hot sandwich with a mint chutney or a dip. I have few favorite places in Dubai for good sandwiches. Now I have added one more place to that list- Pressman’s Pressed Sandwiches.
I first heard about Pressman’s when they opened their first outlet in JLT. Now they have three outlets in Dubai. I wanted to grab a quick lunch and hence visited their closest outlet near where I stay.
Located in the Lobby Level of Latifa Tower near Crowne Plaza Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, Pressman’s is a casual dining cafe specializing in sandwiches.
As we went during the peak lunch time, the outlet was busy. Though the cafe was busy, they immediately attended to us.
Pressman’s has a cool, casual and relaxed vibe with simple and minimalistic decor. You need to choose your sandwich or whatever else you want and pay for it and then they serve it to your table.
About their sandwiches
- Made with bread baked in-house daily and not frozen bread.
- Free of preservatives and artificial conditioners.
- Free of butter.
- Pressed and served hot, fresh and quick.
- Not pre-made and always made to order.
- Served with signature tomato soup to dip or sip.
Our experience at Pressman’s
We picked up two small bottles of organic drinks in delicious Elderflower and Lemon flavors. Our drinks were aromatic, refreshing and cool. It was perfect for the afternoon heat.
We were recommended to try their signature Hand Pressed Chips and it had potatoes cut, baked and pressed but not fried. It was amazing.
We also ordered their tasty and wholesome Arabian Salad. It had veggies, cherry tomatoes, chickpeas, red kidney bean, cilantro dressed in extra virgin olive oil and sumac.
As a vegetarian, I am happy to say that, Pressman’s offers great variety for vegetarians. You can choose the bread you want for your sandwich. They have 4 kinds- Multi Cereal, Omega, Country White and Whole Wheat.
We ordered Cheese Chili Corn sandwich. It was fantastic and comes totally recommended. This sandwich had cheddar cheese, corn, jalapeño, diced green chilies, onions and cilantro with ranch dressing.
Next we had the vegan Leafy Garden sandwich and we didn’t like it as it was too bland. Leafy Garden, true to its name had a variety of greens with homemade basil pesto.
Spicy Paneer Twist is one of their new sandwiches. I can’t tell you how delicious it was. Spicy Paneer Twist had a medley of veggies with cottage cheese and black olives blended in two flavors of sauce- spicy chipotle and sweet chili sauce. We relished it.
Their delicious sandwiches were served with a rich and creamy Tomato Soup.
We ended our awesome meal with a hot cup of freshly brewed Cappuccino.
We loved our experience at Pressman’s. The food, the drinks and the service was excellent. I think their staff are some of the best I’ve seen in Dubai. The pricing is reasonable for such good quality food. I am certainly coming back again for my sandwich fix.
