On 10th of April, Starbucks Middle East launched a brand new drink in their Jumeirah Drive Thru branch. I was one of the few people to be invited for their special drink launch. It was a fun evening with an exclusive reveal of the new beverage and I also got to network with the Starbucks marketing team.
I loved the personalized invitation that was sent home. It was a mason jar filled with aromatic coffee beans and on top of it was the invite with beautiful wordings that held a clue to the new drink.
Here’s the beautifully expressed words:
Cascading clouds, creamy sweet.
I am a friend you can’t wait to meet.
Smooth and bold, refreshingly cold.
I’m a drink you can’t wait to hold.
#CreamyClouds was the key word. So they were going to introduce creamy Starbucks drink. And I couldn’t wait to try it.
We had a coffee tasting session at their Jumeirah Drive-thru branch where their expert barista taught us to make a perfect brew and also sampled a variety of coffee. We also got to make our own drink.
The two new drinks that were launched that evening were Cold Brew and Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew.
Cold Brew is handcrafted in small batches and combines ground coffee and cool water. It is steeped for as long as 20 hours. This cold brew coffee concentrate is used to make their new Cold Brew Iced Coffee beverage. It has a smooth and aromatic flavor. We tried the cold brew in rich and caramelly Iced Americano.
Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew is made by topping Cold Brew with a delicate float of house-made vanilla sweet cream-a mixture of vanilla syrup, cream and milk-that cascades throughout the cup. This creamy vanilla flavored cold brew is perfect for summer.
