I wonder whether you all face this problem! Whenever we decide to dine outside, we take a pretty long time to decide where to eat. While my son wants to eat Mexican, my daughter wants to visit an Italian restaurant and my hubby wants Indian food. This is my usual dilemma while deciding on which restaurant to visit for lunch or dinner in the weekend.
I stumbled upon one place where everyone’s food cravings can be satisfied. It’s the Big Chefs, one of Turkey’s popular exports. Big Chefs offers international cuisine with over 100 dishes from all over the world. Cool, isn’t it!
What can you expect at Big Chefs?
Not only do they serve a variety of dishes from around the world, they offer fresh food made from high quality ingredients. Everything is made in-house.
We loved the vintage decor, bright lighting and shelves with books. The ambience is stylish and relaxed.
Big Chefs offers breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. We started our lunch with drinks first. While my hubby opted for the smoothie Slim Green, I ordered the Elderflower Lemonade. Both our drinks were tasty and refreshing. Their drinks menu is as impressive as their food menu.
We were offered a complimentary basket of freshly baked Bread with their special dip, when we were waiting for our lunch to arrive.
Green Vegetables with Beluga Lentils was a rich, green and healthy salad made with a selection of greens, veggies, edamame, green peas, beluga lentils and dressed in a green apple vinaigrette.
Cheese Tartlets were filled with creamy cheese and garnished with parsley. It was utterly delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed these cheese filled treats.
Veggie Quesadilla that was stuffed with grilled veggies and cheese was served with guacamole, salsa and sour cream.
Veggie and Dill Spaghetti was delicious with a creamy tomato sauce and crunchy veggies. We liked the fact that though this veg option was not available in the menu, they made it upon our request.
Kunafa with blueberry and mozzarella is their signature dessert. It has baked kunafa with blueberry, mozzarella cheese, syrup and ice cream. Their blueberry kunafa is to die for, don’t ever leave the restaurant without ordering it.
Baklava is another dessert that we loved. Warm baklava layers with pistachio was presented in a creative manner. It was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Another must-try dessert at Big Chefs.
We ended our meal with a cup of Turkish tea that was hot and fragrant.
Overall, we had an amazing experience. The portion size of all the dishes are huge. The food at Big Chefs is packed with great taste and flavor. The impeccable service and lovely ambience enhanced our lunch experience.
