University City in Sharjah has become a foodie hub and its popular for its eclectic food offering. As a big connoisseur of coffee, I wanted to visit Crafted Blends which is known for its good coffee and decent food offering. On a Saturday early afternoon, we drove down to Sharjah to check out this cafe.
Crafted Blends is a chic, cool and cosy cafe located in the University Road, Sharjah. This trendy cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating area. The ambience is that of a contemporary cafe.
Picture frames with amusing quotes adorn the walls of the cafe. Even the cushions have quirky captions on it. The cafe looks like an Instagrammers dream. I was so happy clicking away pictures of this wonderful venue.
Their menu is small and simple with their house speciality dishes, appetizers, fusion tacos, burgers and desserts.
Apart from specialty coffee, their menu also offers few cold beverages, soft drinks and a variety of organic tea.
We tried some of their coffee like Cappuccino, Flat White and Brewed Coffee Chemex. Their in-house barista is well trained and knows to brew a perfect coffee. Coffee at Crafted Blends is amazing and a must-try if you are looking for a good cup of coffee.
Appetizers
Japanese Cheese Balls was highly recommended by their staff. It had two kinds of cheese with jalapeño, hot sauce and was wrapped in a nori sheet. I found it spicy and tasty, where as my hubby didn’t find it appealing.
Quinoa Salad had a mix of veggies with green apples, pomegranate seeds, cherry tomatoes and parsley in a citrus dressing. It was bland.
You can never go wrong with Cheese Fries that are generously slathered in cheddar cheese.
Mains
Penne Pomodoro Basilico was delicious. It had Penne pasta tossed in pink sauce and it was topped with sun dried tomato, baby spinach, ricotta and mozzarella cheese.
Tagliatelle Pasta was made with creamy white sauce and had crunchy pieces of mushroom. It was rich in taste and flavor.
Desserts
Crispy Churros was served chocolate and Dulce de Lèche dip. The churros was extremely delicious and what a joy it was to dunk the churros and savour it.
Milk Cake was another winner. It was super spongy, creamy and oh-so-delicious. We loved it.
Overall, we had a good experience. If you are in Sharjah or visiting Sharjah, Crafted Blends is worth visiting.
