The Beach at JBR is my favorite dining and shopping spot in the city. When it comes to dining, The Beach offers a plethora of choices. And its a great family dining and lifestyle destination too.
I had visited Poco Loco with my friends before and l liked the food that I had tried at their place . So I decided to take my kids for lunch at Poco Loco, as they love Latin American food, especially the Mexican cuisine.
Poco Loco is a beautiful sea facing restaurant located at The Beach, JBR. It has vibrant and lovely Latin inspired decor. Its a spacious restaurant sprawled across two floors.
The ground floor is a good dining space for the families with direct access to the beach and the upper floor offers a smoking lounge with live music in the evenings. They also offer an outdoor dining area which is very popular with the diners.
As the weather was very pleasant, we sat outdoors for our lunch. And immediately ordered the drinks. Poco Loco’s drinks menu features a good variety of fresh juices, mocktails, milkshakes, smoothies, lemonade, iced drinks soft drinks and hot beverages.
We ordered a Pink Lemonade and Kiwi Margarita. Both the drinks were refreshing and tasty.
The food menu in Poco Loco mostly features Mexican, Tex-Mex and Peruvian food. Whether you are a vegetarian or a non vegetarian, Poco Loco offers plenty of choice. As I am a vegetarian, here’s my grassy perspective of the food in Poco Loco.
We started off with their highly recommended Guacamole with tortilla chips. The Guacamole is made fresh, right in front of you. It’s a pure joy to dunk our chips into the bowl of fresh Guacamole.
Next we had the scrumptious Nachos with melted cheese, pico de gallo, jalapeños, pinto beans, guacamole and sour cream.
From their taco menu, we ordered the soft Corn Tacos. They were delicious and flavorful .
As our main course, we ordered Quesadilla Rustica and veggie Fajita. The Quesadilla Rustica had four cheese, Haberno chili, tomato and chimichurri. It was spicy and tasty. A definite must-try at Poco Loco. The Fajita was as good as you get in any Tex-Mex restaurant in Dubai.
Our dessert was an unforgettable affair. We ordered their Poco Loco Boat. It was a long wooden boat filled with a selection of homemade desserts and tropical fruits. There were desserts like churros, Tres Lèches, ginger & white chocolate cheesecake, ice cream sushi, sorbet and tropical fruits. Each and every dessert was loaded with freshness and deliciousness. A perfect ending to a wonderful lunch.
Poco Loco not only offers amazing view and lively atmosphere, it also offers good food and innovative drinks. The service is impeccable.
