Revisited one of my old favorites after years and I must tell you it hasn’t lost any of it charms. Oscar’s Vine Society is one of those hidden gems in Dubai that must be visited by all wine lovers. Anybody will be astounded by the extensive selection of wines at Oscar’s.
Located in the 4th floor of Crowne Plaza Hotel in Sheikh Zayed Road, Oscar’s Vine Society is a cozy Provençal themed bistro and bar. It offers delectable French cuisine, with the menu changing according to what is in season.
They offer 120 different wines, 40 served by the glass. If you are a wine connoisseur, Oscar’s is the place for you.
The setting of the place is beautiful and pleasant with dim lighting, painted floral motifs and relaxed atmosphere. Oscar’s Vine Society also offers different theme nights like ladies night, wine and cheese night etc.
Amazing music by Mojo band duo of Alex and Ana enhanced our dining and wining experience at Oscar’s Vine Society.
Their food menu is small with some of the traditional French classics. The drinks menu not only offers extensive selection of wines, it also offers fresh juices, mocktails, cocktails, beer and other spirits.
We started off with a glass of Rosé from Spain. We were served complimentary bowl of Nuts and a basket of Bread.
As a starter, we ordered a platter of Cheese. It had 4 varieties of cheese like Camembert, Goat cheese, Comté and Valençay. The platter also consisted of crackers, red grapes, walnuts, apricot and honey. This platter can easily be shared between 2-3 people and goes very well with the wine.
Next we ordered a Caesar style veggie salad. It was a simple and refreshing salad.
As the French onion soup is one of my favorites I had to order it. The Classic Onion Soup was rich and full flavored, it was served with small bits of bread and cheese.
We were served a glass of red wine from Burgundy region of France for our next course. It was a great wine and went perfectly with our meal.
For our main course, we had Spaghetti with cherry tomato and garlic sauce. It was a delicious and hearty dish with chunks of veggies and spaghetti in a creamy sauce.
To go with our main course, we were served a glass of wine from Bekaa valley of Lebanon.
Our dessert was a decadent affair. We had both their signature desserts- Crème Brûlée and Chocolat Fondant. The Crème Brûlée was topped with salted caramel macaroon, which gave it a unique and tasty twist. The Chocolat Fondant was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it was super indulgent.
The food, the wine, the atmosphere, the music and the service was amazing. What a great way to spend an evening. Oscar’s Vine Society is a perfect place to catch up with the buddies and also a good place to go on a romantic date. Weekday or weekend, Oscar’s is the place to be…cheers!
