Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at the newly renovated Dunes Café in Shangri-La Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road. I went there for the launch of their new loyalty program called The Table by Golden Circle that offers unparalleled benefits to members who dine at Shangri-La properties both in Dubai as well as abroad.

Our Experience
It was a memorable evening where we indulged in all the dishes that was served based on the mood. Our evening began on an adventurous note or on adventurous mood at the Terrace of Level 42. Their Rooftop Terrace offers a stunning view of Dubai skyline.
The Rooftop Terrace was our meeting point and we were served drinks. The first of our 5 dishes were served at the Terrace according to the mood theme. Here the mood was Adventurous and we were offered a pre-starter. As my guest and I were vegetarians, we were offered a veg option.
After that, we went downstairs to Dunes Café and it was time to experience the next mood-Chill. As per this mood, we relaxed and chilled. We were offered slippers and it was such a delight to remove our high heels and wear the comfy slippers, we felt like we were at home. We were served Vietnamese soup.
We were also served a special vodka based cocktail exclusively prepared only for that day. Before the entrée could arrive, we were offered a basket of freshly baked bread with homemade butter.
As the next mood was Elegant, flowers in an elegant vase was placed on our table before our dishes arrived. We were served an entrée which was a gorgeous looking Risotto. Not only was it beautifully presented, it tasted extremely delicious too.
It was time to experience the next mood, which was Upbeat. While the non vegetarian guests enjoyed ribs for their main course, we vegetarians were offered vegetable Mille Feuille. It had exquisite taste and flavor.
Next was the Intimate mood and we were served the final course-dessert. And the dessert was a super indulgent 24 Karat chocolate Fondant with hot chocolate sauce. We ended our evening with this divine tasting dessert.
What an amazing evening it was, truly unforgettable. And I am so impressed with their loyalty program that I got myself registered. And I cannot recommend it enough.
Throughout our evening, we experienced flawless and impeccable service that Shangri-La is known for.
