There are times when I want to go to a particular restaurant, but end up not going due to the distance. One such place was Skye & Walker. No, it is not a Star Wars themed restaurant. But certainly, it is as amazing as the Star Wars series.
Dubbed as the sustainable neighborhood eatery for globetrotters and savvy foodies in Dubai, it is right place for foodies who believe in healthy eating and have an eclectic taste.
Located in the Ground Floor of Marriott Executive Apartments in Deira, which is in the old district of Dubai, Skye & Walker has a vibe of a contemporary urban cafe.
The interiors of Skye & Walker has the elements of industrial chic. The decor of the place is tastefully done in reclaimed, recycled and eco-friendly materials. This spacious restaurant and cafe offers both indoor and outdoor dining space, it also has a deli counter.
As explained by their staff, Skye & Walker is a destination for guilt free nutritious dishes inspired by fresh local ingredients sourced through a few handpicked vendors. Their menu includes vegan and gluten free options and also a number of healthy dishes.
To quench our thirst, we ordered their Pomegranate Lemonade and Strawberry & Coconut Water. It was freshly made at their juice bar.
We started off with super light, healthy and tasty Kale Chips. This was one chips where I didn’t feel guilty while eating.
Next, we had Avocado Caprese as our salad. It had fresh mozzarella, avocado, marinated tomatoes, basil leaves, pesto, balsamic and olive oil.
As their Avocado Toast came highly recommended, we had to order it. Made with grain bread, smashed avocado with curry spices, sea salt, chili flakes, arugula and EVOO, it was scrumptious.
Their diverse menu offers pizzas, burgers and sandwiches. We ordered their wood fire Veggie Pizza which was finger lickingly delicious.
We also tried their Quinoa & White Bean Pita Pocket. It was served with fries and Arabic pickles.
As part of their upcoming Italian Night Buffet in February, we were offered Pasta with creamy white sauce. We relished it and I am sure their Italian themed night will be great.
For dessert, we had their signature Raw Carrot Cake that was served in a mason jar. The raw carrot cake didn’t taste like the regular carrot cake, it was almost in a mousse form. It had a blend of raw carrots, walnuts, coconut and dates.
We ended our lunch with a pot of aromatic and refreshing fruit flavored Tea.
I am glad that I finally visited Skye & Walker. Whether it is breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner S & W has it covered. Delicious yet healthy and nutrious food for guilt-free eating.

P.S-Their Italian Night Buffet that starts from February is worth checking out. The buffet offers salads, starters, soup, live pizza and pasta stations, hot buffet, desserts and soft beverages. It is priced at 110 AED per person.
