Medley the international restaurant featuring various cuisines, recently launched their Indian themed night-Art of Spice. The menu is curated by celebrity chef Sweety Singh, who was specially flown in from Delhi for this event. Award winning chef Sweety Singh has incorporated his menu by blending ingredients and flavors inspired by the North Indian region.
Our dinner experience was enhanced by the Indian Art Exhibition-‘Colors of Pride’ as it was paired along with the launch of the Indian theme night. The beautiful and vibrant artwork is displayed in the ground floor(Le Cafe) of the hotel. I had the pleasure of meeting and interacting with the talented and creative Indian artist Atul Panase and Sachin Jain of Jorness Jewels. The Indian art exhibition will be open till 29th of November.
Located in the Level 1 of the Hotel Pullman Dubai Creek City Centre, Medley is an all day dining restaurant offering buffet as well as A-La-Carte menu. They offer different theme nights, and on every Friday evenings, they have an Indian night-Art of Spice.
Medley is a spacious restaurant with modern decor. It has elegant and minimalistic interiors. The lavish buffet is neatly laid out in different stations. There is a separate bar area.
We were offered Mango Lassi as our welcome drink. It was freshly made and tasted delicious.
We gave the Soup Counter a miss, and went for the Salad Station. It had all the essential Indian salads as well some international favorites.
Right next to the Salad station was a counter with amazing variety of Indian Pickles and Condiments. I’ve never seen so many varieties of Indian Pickles in any of the Indian restaurants in Dubai. I tried quite a few and they were excellent.
My favorite part of the Indian buffet is the Chaat Counter. The chef served up some Chaats like Sev Puri, Dahi Puri, Pani Puri and Dahi Bhalla.
For the Main Course, there was a wide range of popular North Indian dishes like Butter Chicken, Paneer Makhanwala, Rajma, Kadi Pakora, Biryani and many different curries.
There was a separate section for Grilled meat, Paneer and Veggies. We were served freshly made Indian Bread from the traditional Tandoor(oven).
Both the vegetarians and the non vegetarians had great options.
When it came to desserts, we were spoilt for choice. I tried most of the Indian sweets like Gulab Jamun, Gajar Halwa, Jalebi, Ras Malai, Ladoo, Mango Kheer, Sago Kheer, Rabdi etc. Each and every Indian dessert was outstanding. I got to taste Garlic Halwa for the first time, it happens to be Chef Sweety Singh’s speciality. It was amazing.
There was a different section for international desserts like Cakes, Tarts, Pastries and Puddings.
We ended our dinner, with a hot cup of delicious Chai.
It was wonderful meeting and chatting up with chef Sweety Singh. He has an apt name, as he is such a sweet soul.
Art of Spice is one of the best Indian theme nights in Dubai. Totally recommend it.
