At the moment Turkish cuisine is trending in Dubai, lot of new Turkish restaurants have been opened recently and the old ones have had a makeover in the menu department. Around the last week of September, I was invited to a Saturday Turkish Brunch at A La Turca Restaurant. I have tried Turkish cuisine many times, but for the very first time, I was trying the Turkish brunch and naturally I was excited.
A La Turca Restaurant is located in the beautiful property of Rixos The Palm Dubai. It is the resort’s main restaurant. It is an all-day-dining buffet concept restaurant that serves a variety of international cuisines including authentic Turkish cuisine from Anatolia, Aegean and the Black Sea regions of Turkey.
The restaurant is beautiful and spacious with an outdoor and indoor dining area. The Turkish inspired decor looks stunning. The place oozes luxury and charm. A La Turca is a perfect place to dine with family and friends. I loved the lively and friendly vibe.
As we were a bunch of bloggers, we all sat together in a big table at the air conditioned shaded terrace. The live Turkish music enhanced our brunch experience.
After ordering a round of drinks, we went around the restaurant to have a look at the buffet. If you love Turkish food, A La Turca is the place for you. We were truly gobsmacked by the variety of Turkish dishes they were offering.
I was amazed by the variety of Salads they had to offer. As I love salads, I tried many of the salads and found them fresh and tasty.
Though the Soups looked inviting, I ditched it as I wanted to keep some space for the many dishes and desserts that were on the buffet spread.
We also tried their delicious Doner Kebab, Lahambejeen kofta, freshly baked Pidde, Meze, Manti, Borek, Kofte, Rice Pilav, Stuffed aubergine and more.
The live BBQ Station was a meat lovers delight, it had a good selection of meats that were grilled to perfection.
The Dessert selection was humongous. I tried quite a few Turkish sweets like Baklava, Kunafa, Turkish delight, Revani and Lokma. They had rich and authentic taste. Apart from the Turkish desserts, there were a great choice of cakes, Pastries and puddings.
There is also an healthy option of Fresh fruits.
My favorite was the Turkish ice cream stand, where I enjoyed the delicious, stretchy and chewy Turkish ice cream. And yes, the Turkish ice cream stand not only dish great ice cream, they also provide entertainment too. No wonder, everyone was making a beeline at the stand.
Overall, we had a great brunch experience. The food, the service and the atmosphere was excellent.
