Fridays, the people in Dubai go brunching. It has become an institution, infact when one of my friend from overseas had come to visit Dubai ,on top of her itinerary list was the ‘Friday Brunch’. Whether you are a tourist or a resident, nobody can resist the temptation of a Dubai Friday Brunch. This Friday I took my kids to the Friday brunch at The Atrium Restaurant.
The Atrium Restaurant is located in the 1st Floor of the Grand Millennium Hotel in Tecom/Barsha Heights. The hotel is conveniently located and easily accessible.
The Atrium has an Italian inspired decor, featuring high ceilings, gorgeous chandelier and classy Venetian style interiors. We found it very charming and welcoming.
Every Friday, The Atrium hosts a family friendly Friday Brunch known as the –Family and Friends Friday Brunch. The Atrium is Grand Millennium’s all day dining restaurant offering international buffet.
You can expect a sumptuous international buffet with live cooking stations and good selection of desserts. The live music enhances the Friday brunch experience. While the parents enjoy their meal at leisure, the children are kept busy with children’s activities. A la carte menu is also available.
The buffet offers good selection of dishes that appeals to international palate. We ditched the soup and went for the Salad Counter. The salad counter had a good variety of salads. Watermelon and feta cheese salad, Corn and cucumber salad and Greek Salad were some of our favorites.
The salad section also had Arabic cold Mezze dishes and pickled veggies.
The Sushi Section had all the popular Sushi in a cute sushi boat.
The Noodle Station was offering freshly made noodles by their chef.
One of my favorite station was the South American station. Not only did it have dishes like Enchiladas, Burritos, Chili Con Carne etc, there was also a make-your-own Taco counter. I had a delightful time whipping up a delicious taco.
The kids favorite was the live Pasta Counter. They enjoyed having their own choice of pasta with sauce.
My younger one enjoyed the delectable spread from the Kids Counter. It had all the perennial kids favorite like French fries, chicken nuggets, sandwiches and burgers.
There was a separate section for Seafood too.
All those Shawarma lovers were making a beeline to the live Shawarma Counter. The Barbecue Counter was serving up all the favorites.
Whether you are looking for soups, salads or appetizers, the Friday Brunch at The Atrium has you covered. They also had a separate section for Main Course Dishes. I sampled some of the Indian dishes in that section and especially liked the paneer curry and Dal Makhani with Indian Naan bread.
The Dessert Station was impressive. They had a great variety of desserts from cakes, Pastries to pudding, jelly and fresh fruits. The Crepe Station had us going back for more. They also offered different flavors of premium ice creams with a selection of toppings.
Overall, we had a great experience. The food, the service and the ambience was good.
