Each and every dish is carefully handcrafted by the chefs of Asha’s under the guidance of Asha herself. You can expect a flavorful, delicious and scrumptious meal.
We started off our dinner with a couple of cocktails- Lychee & Elderflower and Asha’s Spiced Tea. The drinks were refreshing and we were impressed with their wide range of mocktails and cocktails in their drinks menu.
From their Kebab and Biryani promotion, we tried the Kofta Kham Katai. It had crispy fried bottle gourd and potato hash patties, pan tossed with tamarind chutney, ginger and fennel. Loved the tangy and mildly spicy flavor of this dish. A definite must-try.
We also tried a platter of special vegetarian kebabs from their regular menu. This platter consisted of Paneer Ka Soola, Tandoori Broccoli and Mushroom Kurkure. Paneer ka soola and Tandoori broccoli was perfectly done with well balanced flavors. The Mushroom Kurkure was not that great, it was too heavy as it was stuffed with cheese.
For the main course, we were served:
Dal Makhani is a simple and popular dish, originating from Punjab region in India. The Dal Makhani at Asha’s had a homemade flavor to it. The taste and flavor of this dish had us asking for more.
We were served freshly baked wholewheat Roti to go with the Dal Makhani.
Subz Biryani or the vegetable biryani was served in a brass pot. The Subz Biryani tasted very ordinary. It lacked spices, flavor and taste.
Boondi Raita was served along with the biryani. Boondi Raita is a basic and simple dish, you cannot go wrong with it.
For dessert, we shared a Mango Kulfi between us. The berry compote that was served in the side, went very well with the mango kulfi. The mango kulfi had the freshness and goodness of a juicy mango. It was lip smackingly delicious. My advice, don’t leave the restaurant without ordering this sinfully delicious dessert.
Overall, we had a great dining experience. The food, the service and the ambience was good. The kebab and biryani promotion is worth trying. The special menu is available till 31st of October.
