Two weeks back I was invited to be a part of the first ever Masala! Masterclass by Masala! Magazine at the Top Chef Cooking Studio in Jumeirah. Masala! Magazine is the number 1 Asian celebrity and lifestyle weekly in the UAE. Naturally, I was quite excited to be a part of the Masala! Masterclass.
As I reached the Top Chefs Cooking Studio in Jumeirah, the place was buzzing with activity and excitement. There were many top bloggers and influencers from Dubai, chef and staff from the cooking studio and the Masala! Magazine team.
After a quick photo session, we were introduced to Chef Cristina Mennah, the very down-to-earth, young and talented chef from Mexico. Our agenda of the evening was to prepare a gourmet three-course meal within two hours under the expert supervision of Chef Cristina. We also got to eat the three-course gourmet meal prepared by us at this ‘cook and eat’ evening. How fab is that!
After donning our apron, we entered the kitchen and formed two groups and started cooking immediately. We made everything from the scratch-from chopping, grating to poaching the eggs to baking. Of course, Chef Cristina was patiently guiding us throughout our time in the kitchen.
The result of our culinary adventure was a delicious three-course meal which was enjoyed leisurely by all of us.
