Café Vienna is a home grown Dubai concept. It offers a multitude of flavors from all around the world. They offer gourmet food that is fresh and tasty.
Philosophy of Café Vienna
To bring the elements of gourmet, fine dining cuisine and transforming that into a comfortable eating experience.
My experience
Last month I was invited for a bloggers evening at Café Vienna. It was an evening of fun, food and learning.
Located at the new foodie hub of Dubai-Business Bay, Café Vienna has the atmosphere of a contemporary cafe. The decor is minimalistic, yet stylish. The seating is comfortable and cosy. It is a great place to come with family, friends or colleagues.
Café Vienna offers an extensive menu with a wide range of soups, salads, appetizers, mains and desserts. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The cafe also offers gluten free, dairy free and paleo options.
Their drinks menu is as elaborate as their food menu. The drinks menu consists of fresh juices, healthy veggie juices, smoothies, milkshakes, iced teas and hot beverages like coffee and tea.
As our welcome drink, we were offered refreshing Lemon Mint drink. I also had a Cappuccino, it was perfectly brewed. I was impressed with their selection of coffee.
What I liked about this event was that we got to try bite-sized or tasting portion of most of the dishes in the cafe, instead of the standard portion. They set up a buffet counter exclusively for the event.
I tried all the vegetarian options.
• Sweet potato spinach and feta quiche
• Lentil Pancakes
• Beetroot quinoa muffin
• Banana almond muffin
• Date and walnut muffin
• Vegetarian pizza
• Thai curry with rice
• Tofu burger
The outstanding dishes were Sweet potato, spinach and feta quiche, Beetroot muffin, vegetarian pizza and Tofu burger. Everything was fresh, tasty and made in-house.
The man behind the Café Vienna concept, Mr Dinesh Pagarani explained briefly about the concept. After that, there was a live cooking demo by the chef. We were served gluten free pasta made of black beans. All their sauces and chutneys are freshly made in their kitchen.
As for the desserts, we were spoilt for choice. I tried a few of them. The desserts were fantastic. I was happy to see many gluten free and paleo sweets. All their desserts are homemade. Some of the desserts that wowed me were:
• Austrian chocolate tart
• Walnut brownie
• Red Velvet cake
• Blueberry cheesecake
• Chia seed pudding
• Paleo coconut cookies
• Quinoa protein bar
Overall, I had a great experience. The food, the service and the atmosphere was great. I’ll be definitely heading back to Café Vienna soon.
