Recently, I came across an amazingly unique concept-Wild Orange. It is a healthy alternative for desserts and ice cream. Wild Orange is a healthy grab and go food and beverage concept serving imported handmade South African sorbets that come in natural fruit shells.
Wild Orange started off their UAE operations last year and they have already opened five outlets. They have plans of opening new outlets all around UAE. I visited their Dubai Festival City outlet.
Located at the Dubai Festival City Waterfront, it was very easy to spot their bright and distinctive orange shaped mobile kiosk.
The sorbets at Wild Orange are gluten free, low fat and free of artificial colors and preservatives. Alongside sorbets, they also offer freshly squeezed orange juice from their state of art Zummo machines. The juices made from these machines are less acidic and less bitter as the orange peel doesn’t come into contact with the juice.
I started off with the freshly squeezed Orange juice. There is nothing as satisfying as a freshly squeezed orange juice that is pure and wholesome.
Next I tried their Zesty Lemon sorbet. It was such a refreshing treat to have on a hot summer day. It was served in a lemon shell. The lemon sorbet was tangy and tasty.
As I am a big fan of chocolate and coconut, I had to try their Chocolate Coconut. It was crafted from coconut milk and artisan chocolate and served in a coconut shell. It was rich,soft and utterly delicious. What a joy it was to have a sorbet in it’s natural fruit shell.
Apart from the ones that I tried, they also serve Sweet pineapple, Mandarin orange and Mango orange sorbet. The sorbets are priced around 12-17 AED and the fresh orange juice is 15 AED. I must say it is very reasonably priced for such good quality. The portion size is perfect. I prefer healthy option any day. Definitely recommend the tenderly made frozen dessert served in natural shell.
