Last Friday I was invited to experience the Grand Friday Brunch at Al Bustan Rotana. As the name suggests, it was a grand brunch indeed. The Grand Friday Brunch happens every Friday at Choices restaurant at Al Bustan Rotana. Are you craving for a different dining experience in a family friendly atmosphere? Then definitely the Grand Friday Brunch is for you.
Located at the ground level of Al Bustan Rotana, Choices offers international cuisine in an elegant and modern setting. The restaurant is spacious with comfortable seating. The decor is classy and chic.
The Grand Friday Brunch is ideal for those who want a taste of the world on their plate. The restaurant serves an elaborate variety of dishes from different cuisines. There are live stations, various buffet stations, do-it-yourself salad station and authentic dishes to choose from.
The Grand Friday Brunch at Al Bustan Rotana includes international cuisine from Choices restaurant, Thai cuisine from Blue Elephant, American-Japanese from Benihana, steak and grills from Rodeo Grill.
There is a separate kids corner with plenty of fun activities for children. The kids corner offers a child friendly buffet, face painting and loads of games. While the parents are having a leisurely meal, the children can have a great time at the kids corner.
We started off with a round of drinks. The kids opted for the healthy drinks from the Healthy Drinks Station. I had the classic cocktail Mojito. Our drinks were refreshing.
The Salad Station had freshly made salad as well as the option of making our own salad.
The Bread Station offered a great variety of freshly baked bread.
The Seafood Station offered everything from oysters, lobsters to prawns and crabs.
Thai Food Station had all the authentic Thai dishes from Blue Elephant restaurant. I especially liked the green curry and papaya salad.
The Japanese Food Station from Benihana was our stop to tuck into some delicious Japanese fare. Loved the variety of sushi and sashimi.
Arabic Food Station was quite impressive. They offered everything from soups, starters to mains and desserts.
Steak and grills lovers had a good selection of roasts and steaks from the Rodeo Grill section.
There were dishes from Italian and French cuisine to Indian cuisine. Their bruschetta, pizza and pasta was excellent. They were serving 5-6 varieties of pasta.
Dessert Station was fantastic, there were desserts from all the cuisines. We were spoilt for choice. Apart from traditional Arabic desserts, there were Indian sweets, international selection of desserts like cakes, pudding, pastries, cookies and macaroons. The chocolate fountain and ice creams were a big hit with the kids.
The Grand Friday Brunch also offers hot beverages like tea and coffee. We ended our brunch with a cup of perfectly brewed green tea.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Good food, impeccable service and welcoming atmosphere. This is my new favorite brunch.
