Punjabi By Nature’s Refreshed Menu

Last Monday I was invited to celebrate the launch of refreshed menu of Punjabi By Nature. Well, they have not changed their menu, they have added new items to their existing menu. It was a fun event with lots of food and good company.

Punjabi By Nature is located in Oud Metha Road opposite Lamcy Plaza

Punjabi By Nature offers North Indian cuisine, they specialize in authentic Punjabi food.

The decor is Punjabi inspired. I loved the creative and quirky posters on the wall, colorful tableware and comfortable seating area. The atmosphere is vibrant, lively and welcoming.

As our welcome drinks, we were offered their signature drink-Pede Wali Lassi in a shot glass. It is an absolute must-try drink, this popular Punjabi lassi is rich, creamy and extremely tasty.

We were also served Aam Ka Panna. This drink is typically served during summers in India. It is made with green mangoes. This refreshing drink was tangy and tasty.

Whether you are a vegetarian or a non vegetarian, Punjabi By Nature has great options. We were served a variety of appetizers, mains and desserts. Here’s is a list of vegetarian dishes that I tried.

Appetizers

Arbi Di Tikkiyan are the yam cutlets topped with vermicelli covering that are shallow fried. It was super delicious, one cutlet can fill you up. So one platter can be easily shared between 2-3 people.

Tandoori Khumb is the stuffed mushrooms with a hint of cumin. If you love mushroom, you will definitely like this appetizer.

Achari Paneer Tikka was the only appetizer I didn’t like. I found it tasteless and flavorless.

Mains

Wadiyan Wala Paneer is the thick rich gravy with soft chunks of paneer. It was cooked to perfection with right amount of spices. This delicious dish is a must-try.

Dal Makhani was slow cooked to perfection and had the authentic homemade flavor.

Sarson Da Saag  is the traditional Punjabi dish made with  mustard leaves and spices. It is best had with some butter and jaggery. So they served this dish with butter and jaggery. We had it with Makai Ki Roti, which is an ideal combination.

We were also served a bread basket with different varieties of rotis(breads). The rotis were freshly made and went well with all the dishes.

Vegetable Biryani was excellent, it was packed with different flavors, spices and veggies.

Cool and creamy Plain Raita was served along with biryani.

Desserts

We were served a dessert platter consisting of Gulab Jamun, Gajar ka Halwa, Rasmalai and Phirni. I liked Gulab jamun the most. The other desserts didn’t taste as good as the Gulab jamun.

Overall, I had an amazing experience. The food is good, the service is good and the atmosphere is wonderful. The pricing is reasonable and affordable. I definitely want to come back again.

P.S-Punjabi By Nature also does home delivery and catering.
