We decided to visit Taste the signature Thai Restaurant at Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort for dinner at our recent staycation at the resort in Fujairah. This restaurant was highly recommended by couple of my friends and hence we booked a table for dinner the day we arrived in the resort.
Taste the Thai Restaurant is located at the ground level of the hotel. It offers authentic Thai cuisine in a traditional Thai setting.
The ambience of the restaurant is stunning. The decor of Taste restaurant is Thai inspired-from the furniture to upholstery and tableware. Loved the intricately carved sofas, gold embossed entrance area and the beautiful statues. Dim lighting and soothing background music adds elegance to the place. The atmosphere of the place took me back to my holiday in Thailand.
The restaurant’s beverage list consists of fresh juices, soft drinks, cocktails and alcoholic beverages. After having a round of drinks. We went through their food menu. They offer most of the popular Thai food.
We ordered Som Tam Salad, Spring Rolls and Fried Tofu with sweet chilli sauce for appetizers.
Som Tam Salad is the popular green papaya salad. It was refreshingly crunchy and perfectly spiced.
The Spring Rolls were crispy, non greasy and light.
Fried Tofu with sweet chilli sauce was terrific. It was crisp and firm from outside and soft inside. The combination of Fried tofu with the sweet chilli sauce was amazing.
As for the mains we ordered the Green Curry, Vegetable Stir Fry, Tofu Curry and Fried Rice.
The Green Curry was rich, creamy, aromatic and extremely delicious.
Vegetable Stir Fry had a medley of seasonal vegetables stir-fried to perfection.
Tofu Curry was made with tofu and other veggies in red sauce. It had well balanced flavors.
Fried Rice was well made. We also had a small portion of Jasmine Rice.
For desserts we had Seasonal Thai Fruits. The kids had a scoop of ice cream for dessert.
We liked the presentation of food. My little girl was so happy when her ice cream came with an orchid on top of her ice cream.
They also have a separate menu for children. Infact all the restaurants at the resort have separate kids menu. So you can expect a extremely family friendly atmosphere in the restaurant as well as the resort.
We had a great experience. The food at Taste Thai Restaurant is outstanding. I can travel all the way from Dubai to Fujairah to have a meal at this amazing place. The service is top notch and the ambience is alluring. Taste Thai Restaurant offers authentic Thai food at it’s best.
