Last Friday I went along with my family to explore the newly launched Friday brunch at Fountain Restaurant-Art of Brunch. It is a family friendly brunch offering international cuisine from around the world. The food is presented in an artistic manner and hence the name- Art of Brunch.
The Fountain Restaurant is located in the ground floor of Movenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai.
The Fountain Restaurant is a spacious restaurant sprawled all across the ground floor of Movenpick Hotel. The ambience is classy and elegant. It is a well lit place with comfortable seating and welcoming atmosphere. It has a pianist playing live soothing music during the brunch.
They have a section called Kids Paradise– where the kids are completely taken care of. They have a separate kids buffet. The kids can eat,drink and play under the supervision of the staff and the parents can have a leisurely meal. There are loads of other activities such as painting, video games, jumping castle and much more. My seven year old had a total blast.
The art of brunch menu is designed by talented chefs. The brunch offers a tempting selection of international delicacies, live cooking station and an elaborate A La Carte menu.
The art of brunch has two packages-one with soft beverages and the other package includes the house beverages.
It serves up a traditional buffet with a British twist. This amazing concept where food meets art: each and every dish is presented in an impressive and creative way.
We started off with a round of drinks. My hubby and I had a glass of Merlot and our daughter had a pineapple juice.
After that my daughter went to the kids buffet and had all her favorites like fries, mac ‘n’ cheese, sandwich, popcorn and cupcake.
The best way to start a brunch is by having a refreshing bowl of soup and we did just that. I must mention about this vodka infused chilled tomato soup. It was fantastic.
They serve a wide range of freshly baked breads and they also offer a good selection of cheese.
The art of brunch at Fountain Restaurant offers the best pick of charcuterie like Beetroot cured salmon, Smoked fish, pastrami, Air dried beef, Duck liver pate etc.
We gorged on the healthy and fresh salads. Grapefruit Salad, Superfood Quinoa salad, Mushroom salad and Green salad were some of our favorites.
There was street food station with an Asian twist featuring a dedicated section for mussels and prawns. The Fresh Oysters station looked impressive.
Sushi and Sashimi lovers will be happy with the variety of Sushi and Sashimi on offer. Apart from that there were Dimsums and other Far Eastern delicacies.
From the international selection, we enjoyed the mezze at the Arabic counter.
The British counter had steaks, grilled meat, roast beef and chicken.
The Indian station had the popular street food Chaat. It also offered main course dishes like dal, paneer, butter chicken and roti.
The Italian station offered freshly made pastas and pizzas.
There was nachos with salsa, quesadillas, paella and so on. One of the best international spread that I have ever seen.
Finally coming to our favorite part of our brunch- Dessert. Each and every dessert looked like a piece of art. They looked so tempting that we wanted to try it all. We tried most of them and they were excellent. Some of the outstanding desserts were the Sherry Truffle in a glass, red velvet cake, Creme brûlée, panna cotta, Lemon Mascarpone mousse and mini raspberry chocolate cup.
They also serve ice creams with various toppings. Candy floss was a huge hit with the kids. I enjoyed the freshly made crepe and waffle.
We finished our brunch with a hot cup of tea.
The Art of Brunch is one of the most value for money Friday brunch in Dubai. The food looks like art and tastes great too. The variety is excellent. I liked the way they took special care of the children so that the parents can have a relaxed meal.
I absolutely recommend the Art of Brunch to everyone- young or old. Good food, efficient service and wonderful atmosphere.
