A meal voucher from Zomato sent me in search of The Hot Dog Stand. This was sometime in early November. Of course, I had heard about The Hot Dog Stand, as I had seen drool worthy pictures on social media. On a Friday early evening my family and I drove down to Dubai Marina.
The Hot Dog Stand serves gourmet hot dogs. They are located in Dubai Marina. It is a small hot dog joint with indoor and outdoor seating. The ambience inside is lovely; they have high bar stools and funky lightings. The outdoor seating area has picnic tables. The interiors has been done tastefully. Every small detail has been worked upon aesthetically; from the menu to cutlery to lighting and furniture.
The Hot Dog Stand at Dubai Marina offers Dubai’s first ever gourmet hot dogs. It was due to the owner’s love for hot dogs that this concept was born. The Hot Dog Stand also serves salads, pasta, sides like Fries, onion rings, tornado potatoes, mini cheese balls and jalapeño poppers and desserts like churros and chocolate chip cookies apart from hot dogs. The drinks menu offers soft drinks and lemonade. This family friendly place also offers kids meal. The menu is simple and not elaborate. They also do deliveries.
We started off with pink lemonade and the kids had the regular lemonade. Both our drinks was refreshing.
Next we had Beans Salad and Colesaw. The beans salad was made with French beans, Kidney beans and onions with a sweet and sour vinegar based dressing. It was amazing. Well, I am not a fan of Colesaw, so I didn’t like it much. The salads came in a cute little jars with lid.
Appetizers/Sides- We had Curly Fries, Onion Rings, Mini Cheese Balls and Jalapeño Poppers. All the 4 sides were excellent. We finished them in two minutes. They are very addictive and delicious.
We had Spaghetti with red sauce as our main course. It was well done and tasty.
Sadly, I couldn’t try the hot dogs as they have not yet introduced a veggie hot dog. But they will be introducing it pretty soon. Can’t wait to try it! They have three signature hot dogs with option of Angus Beef or Chicken hot dog. There is also an option of making your own hot dog with a variety of toppings to choose from. Cool isn’t it!
As for our dessert we had Churros. The Churros tasted as authentic and tasty as in a Mexican restaurant. The Churros were coated with cinnamon and sugar and came with two dips- Chocolate and Caramel. We dunked the Churros generously in the dip, It was heavenly.
My family and I had a great dining experience. The food, the service and the ambience is good. It is a pocket friendly place. Everything is freshly made in-store. Hope they come up with the veggie hot dog soon.
