Denny’s second outlet now open in Dubai

Denny’s the well known family diner chain from USA recently opened it’s second branch in Dubai. I was invited to the grand opening that happened on Al Manara street (off Sheikh Zayed Road)  it was an amazing event, but I couldn’t stay for long and decided to come back another day and have a leisurely meal.

I am familiar with Denny’s Diner as I always visit them whenever I travel to USA. I was overjoyed when I heard that they were planning to open a branch here. Yay, we have two branches now.

Denny’s is open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Amazing isn’t it. You can decide to dine at Denny’s anytime of the day or night. Denny’s offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have an extensive menu and you will be spoilt for choice.

The Denny’s branch at Al Manara street is very spacious. It has two levels of dining and also an outdoor seating area. Denny’s is a family friendly diner. It has the typical American diner vibe. The interiors are done up tastefully. The prices are affordable and reasonable. The portion size is huge. The service and staff are friendly, helpful and efficient.

My friend and I visited Denny’s for a late breakfast last week. We started off with drinks first. I had a Groovy Mango Smoothie and my friend had a Cappuccino.

Groovy Mango Smoothie was made with real fruit, juice and non fat yogurt. It was delicious and a perfect way to start my morning. They have three different flavors of smoothies at Denny’s.

The Cappuccino was perfectly brewed, with right amount of espresso and milk. They also offer coffee with free refills.

Denny’s beverage menu consists of  Coffee, Tea, Iced tea, Soft drinks, Hot Chocolate, Smoothies, Juices, Premium Lemonades and Milkshakes.

We ordered Loaded Veggie Omelette with Sourdough bread and Hash browns, Peanut Buttercup Pancake as our breakfast. We also ordered French Fries and Mac ‘n’ Cheese as our sides.

The Loaded Veggie Omelette was well made. It had veggies like mushrooms, sautéed zucchini, squash and fresh spinach. We have an option to choose the choice of bread. We chose the toasted sourdough bread. The Hash browns are amazing. They are perfectly made in American style.

The Peanut Buttercup Pancake was excellent. Two buttermilk pancakes were topped with hot fudge and drizzled with peanut butter sauce.

All their breakfast comes with hash browns, eggs, Beef or Turkey Bacon. I would say they have a value for money breakfast combination that is delicious and tasty.

As for the French fries, we had the seasoned ones. They were good and quite addictive.

We found Mac ‘n’ Cheese a bit bland for our taste buds.

Though we had a heavy breakfast, we couldn’t resist the sinful desserts at Denny’s. We shared two desserts between us; Pancake Puppies Sundae and Banana Split.

Pancake Puppies Sundae is a must-try dessert at Denny’s. Three bite-sized round pancakes rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with vanilla ice cream. It is super delicious  and one of their signature desserts.

Banana Split had fresh banana and three generous scoops of ice cream with caramel, hot fudge, strawberry topping, whipped cream and chopped nuts. We relished it.

All their desserts look tempting. It is worth trying all of them.

The food menu at Denny’s also offers soups, salads, appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, steaks and seafood. They also offer a good variety of sides.

All in all a great place to try food that is delicious, fresh and tasty and soak in the friendly American diner vibe. Denny’s is worth visiting.
