December is a wonderful time of the year, you can feel the festivity in the air. The best way to celebrate this festive season is with family and friends. Nosh Restaurant at Movenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lake Towers has all our moments of happiness covered, this festive season.
Last week I went to Nosh for Christmas Buffet Preview. Nosh restaurant is located at the ground level of Movenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers at JLT. The hotel is conveniently located and we reached there easily.
As soon as we entered the hotel, we could hear the joyful sounds of Christmas carols presented by children of JPS School. The Christmas tree looked dazzling with Christmas lighting in the hotel lobby. Santa’s visit got the children happy and excited.
Nosh is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant. Along with an A la Carte menu, the restaurant offers an elaborate buffet three times a day. They have themed counters, live cooking stations and ‘Go Healthy’ options.
Nosh restaurant is spacious. The atmosphere is lovely. The interiors are sleek and modern. It has indoor and outdoor seating. It is a family friendly restaurant. They have an enclosed children’s area to entertain the young kids. A good option for families looking out for weekend buffet/brunch options. They also offer a private dining room for a group of twelve.
The buffet was an international fare. There was Arabic, Italian, Indian, Japanese and American cuisine.
After being seated, we started off our Dinner with the refreshing Lentil soup. Then we went to the Cheese counter. We loved the Herb goat cheese, Homemade Burrata, Chaource and Fourme D Ambert.
The Bread counter had freshly baked bread like Olive focaccia, tomato bread, multigrain bread and cheese bread.
There was a separate Seafood counter with a great variety.
Loved the Sushi counter, that was shaped like a boat. The sushi was delicious and a definite must-try.
The salad counter was impressive. They have an endless choice when it comes to fresh, healthy and delicious salads. Some of the salads were new and innovative. Our favorites were Goat cheese panna cotta with walnut, Melon gazpacho with lemon and mint, Quinoa salad and Beetroot Carpaccio. We enjoyed the cold Mezze like Hummus, Tabouleh and Moutabel etc.
The Indian counter had a separate Chat section, where we could relish chaats like Pani puri, Bhel puri, Dahi vada and Papri chat on the spot.
The Roast section had festive favorites like Roast Turkey and Roast Beef.
There was a separate section for main course dishes. It was a medley of international dishes. There was pasta, Lasagna, Lamb Ouzi, Jeera Rice, Dal Makhani, Salmon, Steaks, Fried Chicken with sour cream, Barbecue beef ribs and lamb ribs, Roast potatoes and mashed potatoes. It was a perfect mix of international dishes.
When it comes to desserts at Nosh, you will be spoilt for choice. Along with traditional favorites like Yule log, Mince pies and Chocolate pudding; there was also the regular desserts. Kids will love the chocolate fountain. Nosh also offers Cotton candy on the spot. We tried most of their desserts and liked them all. But our favorites were the Rainbow Slice, Kiwi Banana layer, Baked Yoghurt, Pistachio Mousse and Cheesecake brownie. The dessert counter is impressive and you would want to go back for more.
We had a great dining experience. The spread is elaborate and the service is good. I would want to come back and try their Friday brunch and the theme nights. Nosh is a nice place to visit this festive season.
