Weekdays are so hectic generally, and I am sure, everybody is looking forward to the weekend. Oh! the joy of getting up late and having a leisurely breakfast.
Sufra at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights introduces a new late and lazy breakfast concept every Saturday.
Weekends are the time when we spend most of our time with family. If you happen to live in Dubai I am sure you will be going to weekend brunches. We have Friday brunches everywhere in Dubai. But lazy breakfast on a Saturday is an unique concept. My family and myself were intrigued by this concept. We were eagerly waiting for Saturday to arrive, so that we can check out Lazy Breakfast at Sufra.
So on a Saturday all the four of us got ready and reached Sufra around 12:30pm. It is conveniently located and easily accessible. Sufra is located at the lobby level of Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights, Dubai Healthcare City.
Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights is a new luxury hotel. It is the first time that we visited this hotel. I must say that it is a beautiful property.
When we reached Sufra, we were shown our table and we could see that the restaurant was fully occupied.
Sufra is a very spacious restaurant. The interiors are done up well. The ambience is classy and elegant. It has a modern style with traditional touch. It has a relaxed vibe. It is a great dining option for families, group of friends and businessmen. It has an amazing view, as it overlooks Dubai Creek Park.
As soon as you enter the first station you get is the juice bar, the bar tender makes a perfect concoction of drinks, both non alcoholic and alcoholic. We and hubby loved their Sangria,Bellini and Gin Fizz. The kids enjoyed their mocktails.
Next we went to ‘make your own salad’ counter and had fun making our own salad. The kids had a ball, creating unusual salads.
After that we went to the composed salad section. The variety was huge. We tried almost all the salads. We liked them all. Everything was fresh. Some of our favorites were Greek salad, beetroot moutabel, fattoush, tabbouleh and beetroot and goat cheese salad. We enjoyed the chilled cucumber soup as well.
Cold cuts and cheese station was the next. They have a good variety of cold cuts, cheese and nuts.
The kids went to the cereals section and got their cereals of their choice. They also happily helped themselves to flavored yoghurt.
We went up to the eggs action station and asked them to make omelette according to our specifications. It was perfectly made.
They also have a section for breads, croissants, muffins, Cinnabon and other bakery items. We tried few and they were delicious.
Pancake and waffle station was a big hit with the kids.
Our next stop was the hot buffet station. We helped ourselves with hash browns, idli sambar, pasta, methi paneer with paratha and dal makhani. They had lot more choices for non vegetarian food. But they do serve vegetarian fare which is not in the buffet. The pasta, paneer and the dal, they specially made for us as we are vegetarians.
They also pass around many specialties like chicken tikka wrap, shawarma, hang over pizza, sliders etc.
It was time for our favourite part of our lazy breakfast. Yes, time for desserts and ice cream. They had a wide range of desserts. All of them were really good. We liked the panna cotta, chocolate grand truffle, chocolate mud cake, thin apple tart and fruit tart to name a few. The kids were raving about the cupcakes.
The ice cream station had assorted homemade flavours which were good.
What we really liked was the freshness and taste of the food we had at Sufra. They use fresh and high quality ingredients. All their stations are interactive. All the chefs are very friendly and interactive. The service is top notch.
There is an activities corner for the kids.
We had one of the most relaxed Saturday. The food is good, the ambience is lovely and the service is top notch. I definitely would like to recommend Lazy Breakfast at Sufra to everyone.
