800 Degrees Pizzeria is a latest addition to the new extension of Mall of the Emirates. It is very easy to locate this place, it is right next to the Vox Cinemas on level 2 of the mall.
I was invited to the grand opening on 5th October. 800 Degrees is an American chain of pizzeria originating from Los Angeles, California. Apart from Mall of the Emirates, they also have other branches in Dubai.
I was visiting 800 Degrees for the first time and was looking forward to try the pizza. I went along with my friend Nisha to the Media event.
800 Degrees Neopolitan Pizzeria is a very spacious restaurant. It has a nice and friendly ambience. The restaurant is done up tastefully.
Apart from pizza they also serve salads, Burrata with toasted Ciabatta, few starters and beverages like coffee, tea and iced tea. They also offer a small variety of gelato.
As the name suggests, the pizza is baked in oven temperature of 800 degrees. The pizza is made from the scratch. You can expect fresh and high quality pizza from them.
Here is the first procedure, you choose a crust. You can either choose the original Neapolitan or the gluten free.
The second step is to choose a base . They have Margherita, Bianca, Bufalina, Marinara and Verde.
After choosing the base, the third step is to choose the add ons.
They have a variety of cheese to add to the pizza. After adding the cheese of your choice, you can choose the vegetable or meat of your choice to add to your pizza.
You can also add dressings like Truffle oil and Basil Pesto.
After customizing your own pizza, it is baked in front of you in their wood fire oven and the pizza is ready in 90 seconds. That’s the quickest pizza ever, and I am sure you all will agree with me.
We tried two kinds of pizza. Our first pizza had a Marinara base with tomato sauce, garlic, oregano and olive oil. We asked them to add a variety of veggies. Oh boy, the pizza was awesome.
Our second pizza had Verde base, it is made with pinenut-Basil Pesto, fresh Mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano. We put vegetable toppings like sun dried tomatoes, roasted peppers and Spinach. This pizza was different and we loved it.
We also had iced tea with our pizza.
After our pizza meal, it was time for Gelato. We tried two flavours, Caramel and Cookies & Cream. We didn’t like the Caramel Flavour. Cookies & Cream was good.
800 Degrees Neopolitan Pizzeria is a great concept. We had fun customizing our pizza. It is a place to try authentic wood fire pizza. I have added 800 Degrees to my list of best pizzerias in Dubai. It is a place you want to visit on a regular basis.
