Ladies Night at La Residence Restaurant & Lounge- Raffles Dubai

Bienvenue! that’s the way we were welcomed at one of the latest addition to Dubai’s dining scene, that is the very Chic Parisian restaurant and lounge  La Residence. The entrance itself was utterly glamorous and very French. I couldn’t wait to get inside and check it out. The restless me wanted to just run inside.

I was invited to try out the new ladies night La Demoiselle at La Residence. The ladies night happens every Wednesday night. The offer is amazing. There is 50 percent off on the a la carte menu and ladies also get to have four complimentary drinks.

I went to La Residence last Wednesday night with three of my gal pals. We were visiting the place for the first time and I was the one who got my friends to La Residence and I was a bit apprehensive and wondering whether the place will be good and will my friends like it.

La Residence is inspired by the finest French Brasseries. The place oozes with glamour. The ambience is chic, luxurious and romantic. The bright furnishing, dimly lit lighting and beautiful upholstery adds to the beauty of the place. The walls are filled with contemporary art work.

La Residence  is quite spacious. It has two areas. The restaurant and the lounge. The lounge is next to the well stocked bar. There is live music. They were playing jazz on Wednesday. Beautiful ambience, lively atmosphere, jazz music and good friends. Well, I couldn’t ask for more.

The menu is not elaborate. They have a good selection of wines, spirits and signature cocktails. The food menu consists of most of the French specialities.

I and my friends happened to be vegetarians. Yes, the choice was very limited for vegetarians. But what was offered to us was quite good. They said they can make changes wherever possible.

We started off with their signature cocktails.

Lemon Meringue

Burlesque

Le Mélange

We loved the Lemon Meringue cocktail the best. Even the other two were good. They have limited selection of mocktails. We tried two of them.

Tarte Du Pays

Bouquet D’Agrumes

Both the mocktails were amazing.

Here’s what we had for our dinner.

Starters:

Chilled Velvety Green Pea Soup

Greek style Vegetable Salad

Green Asparagus, Warm Leeks with Black truffle Sauce

French Fries

Main Course:

Macaroni Cheese Old Vintage Comte

Dessert:

French Toast with salted Caramel ice-cream

They serve you complimentary bread from the bread basket. We loved the chilled velvety green soup with fresh goat’s curd and olive oil. It was different and nice. The Greek style salad was ok, nothing exceptional. We loved the Green Asparagus, warm leeks with black truffle sauce. The French fries were the regular fries you get everywhere. The best part of our meal was our main course, Macaroni Cheese old vintage comte with truffle ragout. This is their signature dish and must have. It was too delicious, writing about it makes me hungry. We asked our waitress to suggest a dessert. As per her suggestion we had French Toast with salted caramel ice-cream. It was the perfect dessert to end our meal. The dessert was amazing and we thanked our waitress for the wonderful suggestion.

The ladies night is worth visiting. The offer is just amazing. La Residence is a glamorous place. It is a great place for romantic dinner for two or good choice for dinner with friends. The food and service is good. The drinks are amazing. The music is awesome. The pricing is on the expensive side. I would love to recommend La Residence, especially their ladies night. We had a wonderful experience and wouldn’t mind going back again.
