My daughter and I always go on a vacation during her half term break in February. This year we decided to revisit Scotland after more than a decade. Our destination in Scotland was Glasgow, a city we had not visited before.
We traveled by direct Emirates flight from Dubai to Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. It took us approximately 7 hours 30 minutes.
Indian Passport holders have to apply for Visa with the required documents, fees, round trip tickets and proof of accommodation. We got it within 2 weeks. We applied for the visa at VFS Global in Dubai.

About Glasgow
The port city of Glasgow on the River Clyde is the largest city in Scotland located in Western Lowlands. It is famed for its Victorian and art nouveau architecture, a rich legacy of the city’s 18th-20th century prosperity due to trade and shipbuilding.
Today the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow is a cultural hub, home to institutions including The Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet and National Theatre of Scotland as well as acclaimed museums and thriving music scene.
On our 4 day visit to Scotland, we stayed in Glasgow and explored the city as well as the Scottish highlands.

What is the best time to visit Glasgow?
The best time to visit Glasgow is from May to September. Summer is the best season to visit the city and winters can get bitter cold and windy.

George Square is the center of the city, it has many architecturally important buildings around it. One of the best spots in the city to sit, relax and watch the world go by.

Day 2 was a day packed with culture, history and fun. We got on the Hop on, Hop off open top double decker bus and explored the city.
