12 New Restaurants to Try This Winter in Dubai

Winter in Dubai is the best time of the year as the weather is pleasant and great for outdoor activities, al fresco dining, food and shopping festivals etc.. The flourishing culinary scene in the city has been busy with opening of many new restaurants, bars, lounges and pop-ups in the last quarter of this year.

Here’s a list of some of the venues I tried this season in alphabetical order:

1 Amuni Restaurant & Lounge

Amuni Restaurant & Lounge is a fabulous new addition to the fine dining scene in Dubai. Inspired by the Spanish, French and Italian riviera’s, Amuni offers best of the Mediterranean cuisine in a luxurious setting. As it is located on the 50th floor, you can expect stunning city views. Date night or business lunch, Amuni Restaurant & Lounge has it covered.

2 Atrangi by Ritu Dalmia

There is a new addition to Jumeirah Al Qasr’s dining portfolio- Atrangi by Ritu Dalmia. It offers a unique twist to traditional Indian cuisine. Expect a gorgeous and vibrant venue with a menu featuring regional dishes that honors the diverse cooking methods passed down through generations. Casual luncheon or celebratory dinner, Atrangi is a place to be.

4 Babel

Babel is an upscale Levantine/Mediterranean restaurant located in Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue. Expect Levantine cuisine elevated through progressive culinary creations in a luxurious atmosphere with magnificent views of Dubai Water Fountains.

5 GIMI

6 Grand Gourmet

7 Plain

8 Rohini by Little Miss India

Rohini is a new venture by award-winning team of Little Miss India. Expect authentic Indian food with a modern flair, exotic cocktails and a cool atmosphere. A restaurant worth visiting for flavorful Indian cuisine in Dubai.

9 Rex Bar

11 Sal’s Bistro

Charming lakeside dining spot Sal’s Bistro is a French bistro concept located in Jumeirah Islands Pavilion. Breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, it is an ideal place that offers fresh, tasty and healthy home-style food. We enjoyed their breakfast and can’t wait to visit them again for dinner.

12 XU Restaurant

XU is a new Cantonese restaurant and bar by Rikas Group that is now open in Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates. Serving dinner only, XU promises diners a late night escape far from the ordinary and mundane. Expect swanky interiors, delightfully quirky cocktails, exotic dishes and attentive service in a lively atmosphere.
