My month of October in Dubai has been a month of brunches and drunches. But I made sure to check out the newest and coolest venue in town- Il Motto, a neighborhood Italian deli serving authentic food and grape.
Located in the Ground Floor of JA Ocean View Hotel, JBR, Il Motto is a classic delicatessen selling authentic assortments of Italian pork, halal cold cuts, artisanal cheeses, paninis and coffee, complemented by specially selected wines from Italy, including affordable wine-on-draft.
The venue is chic and charming with cosy indoor seating area and a lovely outdoor terrace.
Loved the fact that Sustainability is a key focus in Il Motto and all materials from cutlery to take-away packages are environmentally-friendly and fully biodegradable. The food created in their kitchen in sustainably sourced and food wastage is minimized.
The deli is open daily from 7am-10pm and offers Lavazza Coffee with a range of homemade pastries in the morning, a wide range of gourmet deli sandwiches or paninis made with Italian speciality products for lunch or Italian wines paired with cheese and salumi boards in the evening.
I visited Il Motto in the evening and enjoyed their wines along with their signature Il Motto Panini, Il Bello Panini, Chef’s Formaggio Board with antipasti and freshly baked bread.
I am happy to report that the deli also retails Italian speciality products like handmade pasta, sauces, giardiniera and antipasti. And more than 40 Italian wines are on offer including sparkling, red, white, rosé and Sangiovese and Trebbiano on draft for just AED 179 for a litre.
Il Motto is a fabulous new addition to the dining scene in Dubai. Expect an authentic food and grape experience in a relaxed, elegant venue with affordable prices.
