The IPL cricket season is on and there are many venues in Dubai that shows live telecast of the game and being IPL fans we wanted to watch the game in a good place. So we booked a table at View the outdoor terrace and lounge at Dusit Thani Hotel in Sheikh Zayed Road.
Located in the Ground Floor of the hotel, View has a separate entrance from the backside of the hotel as well as an entrance from the Jones The Grocer from inside the hotel.
Nestled in between downtown skyscrapers, View boasts of a good view. It is a casual place that reminded me of beer gardens in Europe. Chill music enhances the atmosphere of the lounge.
It serves food and drinks from the award-winning Jones The Grocer. The View also offer different Shisha flavors. For the IPL season they’ve put up a huge screen and you can catch up all the action live.
While enjoying the match we had Juice to drink. For starters we ordered their Truffle and Parmesan Fries with truffle mayo and the basic Avocado and Tomato Salad.
Main course was a hearty and wholesome affair. We enjoyed Truffle Mushroom Risotto and Garlic & Chili Linguini. It was comfort food at its best.
For desserts we had couple of pastries from their deli counter. We were a bit disappointed as the desserts that was on their dessert menu was not available that day.
Overall we had a good time watching the IPL match along with great comfort food. View is a lovely place to hangout with friends especially during winter.
