A month ago before the uncertainty of the Corona Virus pandemic set in, we went on a weekend staycation to Aloft Dubai South. Located in Aviation City, Aloft Dubai South is a hip boutique property.
The hotel is minutes away from top attractions like Dubai Parks & Resorts and Expo 2020. It is also very close to Al Maktoum International Airport.
From the city center, it took us around 40 minutes to reach the hotel. The property is new and the Lobby looks chic and colorful.
The check-in and check-out was swift and smooth. Our Aloft Non Smoking King room was spacious and featured a double size bed with two side tables, a sitting area and a desk with chair.

Bathroom
The bathroom was not big but it was sparkling clean and had all the usual toiletries like shampoo, soap, conditioner and body lotion.
Facilities in the hotel
Aloft Dubai South has 7 floors, 145 rooms and 4 meeting rooms. There is a swimming pool, fitness center, an all day dining restaurant and bar. The hotel offers complimentary on-site car parking. It also has electric car charging stations.
As we were on a half board basis, our meal plan included dinner and breakfast at their all-day-dining restaurant Nook. We had a la carte dinner and a buffet breakfast. The food was amazing.
Our stay at Aloft Dubai South was relaxed, comfortable and chilled out. It is a good place to stay for business or pleasure.
