A visit to Dubai Media City is incomplete without visiting my favorite place Media One Hotel, an urban lifestyle destination and a tech-forward hotel that has some of the best restaurants and bars in the city.
This time we visited their all-day-dining spot Qwerty to try the Qcumber Xperience. The Qcumber Xperience is a culinary 4 course menu consisting of 16 dishes that will be served to the table. The binding element of this experience is cucumber and everything from starters to mains and desserts will have cucumber in it. How innovative and unique!
The entire menu is vegan/vegetarian friendly. This promotion runs every Friday and Saturday from 12 noon to 11pm in the evening. The price per person is AED 120 for food only and AED 199 per person with food and house beverages. Their cucumber based cocktails are priced at AED 45 per drink.
Qwerty has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It is a fab place to hangout after office hours and a great venue to relax and have a drink or meal at leisure. The outdoor seating area is a perfect place to enjoy cool weather during Dubai’s winter season.
Even the cover of their menu looks super cool just like the venue. We started off with their cucumber based cocktails- Qcumberita, Qcumber Fizz, Qwerty Sour and Qcumber Punch. All the four cocktails were refreshing.
Dip it #DrinkIt
The first course is called dip it and we were served 4 dishes and they were Fresh Cucumber and Avocado Guacamole with corn tortilla chips. Chunky Tomato Salsa with sourdough bread, Trio of Liquid Cucumber and Pickled Cucumber.
All the 4 dishes were light, tasty and comforting. We especially loved the trio of liquid cucumber that had an amazing combination of cucumber gazpacho, cucumber and coconut shot and cucumber jelly.
Roll it #StuffIt
The second course is called roll it and we were served 4 dishes again. The dishes were Vegan Maki, Cucumber Rice Paper Rolls, Jack Fruit Bao Buns and Veggie Sliders.
Except the basic and simple veggie slider, we enjoyed everything. The vegan maki and cucumber rice paper rolls were healthy yet delicious. Jack fruit bao bun was different but in a good way.

The third course or main course is called spoon it. It had Cucumber Curry with rice, Miso Glazed Eggplant, Grilled Veggie Satay and Ricotta and Herb Ravioli.
All the 4 dishes were deliciously different and packed a flavorful punch. Yes, it was our favorite course and we had a second helping of all the dishes.
Lick it #Biteit
The fourth and final course was the dessert and this course was named as lick it. We got to try 4 cucumber infused desserts- Lemon and Cucumber Cake with Gin Icing, Matcha and Cucumber Panna Cotta, Cucumber Slide Cookies and Cucumber Granita.
We enjoyed all the desserts except the Panna Cotta. We felt that the combination of matcha and cucumber didn’t work well with panna cotta.
The Qcumber Xperience at Qwerty is one of a kind culinary experience. The menu is creative and interesting. Hats off to the chef for the creation and execution of such a fantastic menu infusing cucumber in all the dishes. An experience worth trying.
