Riso- A Vegetarian Gem in Oud Metha Dubai

Riso Dubai

My search for good vegetarian restaurants in Dubai led me to Riso Restaurant on Oud Metha Road. Riso is a vegetarian-only multi-cuisine restaurant that offers Italian, Mexican, Lebanese and Indian cuisine along with stone grill, fondue and mocktail selection.

Riso Restaurant has its roots in Mumbai and it was launched two years ago in Dubai. The elaborate and vast menu of the restaurant features amazing dishes that can satisfy the tastebuds of any discerning foodie.

The modern interiors of the restaurant is cosy, chic and cool. It is a great venue to share a meal with family and friends. We chose a cosy corner near the window to sit.

Their menu is massive with extensive selection and we were spoilt for choice. Being vegetarians we were delighted. We started off with a refreshing mocktail called Cosmo Fleshy.

As we wanted to start with something spicy our server suggested Habanero Potato. It had potatoes and grilled veggies tossed in a spicy habanero sauce. We absolutely loved the Habanero Potato.

Next we had the Oven Roasted Garlic Bread that was served with a dip. It was a tasty treat for our taste buds. We also tried the Spinachi Salsa, a creamy spinach dip served with thin crispy toast. The dip was a bit bland.

Their Water Chestnut and Raw Mango Salad was very unique. We enjoyed the exquisite flavors of the salad and every spoonful had tangy, sour and spicy taste.

After having 4 big portions of their appetizers, we were almost full and decided to have only one dish for main course. Riso’s Special Risotto was rich, creamy and incredibly delicious. The portion size is generous and it can be easily shared between two people.

Mud Cake

Dessert was their indulgent Mud Cake, a soft chocolate cake drenched in a gooey chocolate sauce and topped with vanilla ice cream. We ended our lunch with a soothing cup of Green Tea.

Our dining experience at Riso was fabulous. The flavor, taste, variety, quality, quantity and presentation of all the dishes were excellent. Whether you’re a vegetarian or a non vegetarian, Riso is worth trying.
