New Menu at Ashiana- Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers

Ashiana Restaurant Dubai

Ashiana is one of the oldest Indian fine- dining restaurants in Dubai. It offers authentic and traditional Indian food with an innovative and contemporary touch. Over the years, they have constantly reinvented themselves by adding something new and creative in their menu on regular basis.

Located in the Upper Lobby Level of the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers, Ashiana introduced a new menu and we visited them for dinner recently and tried the new menu.

The decor of the restaurant is regal, classy and elegant. It is done up in the hues of dark wood and beige with exquisite chandeliers in the centre. Traditional Indian murals adds character to the venue.

After ordering a round of drinks, we were offered Amuse Bouche or pre-starter which was a bite-sized Indian chaat. The amuse bouche is complimentary and every month they keep changing it.

Being vegetarians, we tried only the veg dishes. They’ve ample vegetarian options. We liked both our starters- crispy and spicy Podi Idli and succulent and juicy Tulsi Paneer Tikka.

The best part of our dinner was the main course. We loved each and every dish. The Dal Makhani had an authentic and homemade taste and flavor. Paneer Dhania Adraki made with cottage cheese, coriander, ginger and creamy onion gravy was packed with rich flavor. Malai Kofta, a dumpling made with cottage cheese and veggies in an indulgent cashew nut and onion gravy was perfectly done and tasted utterly delicious.

The Ashiana Bread Basket that consisted of an assortment of freshly baked Indian breads like tandoori roti, paratha and naan went well with the curries.

Coconut Rasgulla

We ended our dinner with two kinds of desserts- Coconut Rasgulla and Ashiana Pudding. While the coconut rasgulla was scrumptious, the pudding was a disappointment as it had overpowering taste and too many flavors.

Overall we had a fabulous dining experience. What we liked about the food was that it was not too spicy or oily. The flavors were spot on. And the plating was great too. The atmosphere, the live music and the service was excellent.
