Kabab & Rigag- Last Exit, Al Khawaneej

Rigag

Last Saturday, my family and I were shopping in City Centre Mirdif and we were not in a mood to have food in the restaurants or food court in the mall. We drove down to Last Exit, Al Khawaneej close by.

There were many food trucks and decided to have a late lunch at Kabab & Rigag, a kiosk/food truck serving Emirati and Middle Eastern food.

It is not advisable to sit outdoors during this sweltering hot weather. After 5pm in the evening will be perfect time to sit and enjoy the meal.

Kabab & Rigag features a fusion of Emirati and Middle Eastern dishes, serving traditional dishes like Iranian kababs, Rigag, Luqaimat and more along with hot and cold beverages.

Most of their dishes are meat-based and vegetarians have limited choice. Being vegetarians we could only try the veggie options.

We started off with freshly made Orange Juice and Mint Lemonade. To eat, we ordered light, flavorful and authentic Fattoush salad. Loved the crisp and delicious Cheese Zaatar Rigag. The Paratha Cheese with Oman Chips was comfort food at its best. It was served along with thick Steak Cut Fries.

To indulge in our sweet cravings we ordered the popular Emirati dessert Luqaimat. It was fabulous and had a melt-in-your-mouth quality. An absolute must-try.

We ended our meal with Karak Chai which was too sweet.

Overall we enjoyed our meal at Kabab & Rigag, only wish that they had few more vegetarian dishes in their menu. If you’re visiting Al Khawaneej part of town, then you can give them a try.
