Summer is almost coming to an end and the weather is getting a bit cooler in the evenings and that calls for al fresco dining and lounging. So we headed to Estrellas Rooftop Lounge on a Saturday evening.
Estrellas is the poolside lounge in Melia Hotel at the rooftop. They have a spacious outdoor seating area and an indoor seating area. The venue has a cool and relaxed vibe with peppy music playing in the background.
The view of Dubai skyline from Estrellas is amazing. Its a good place to catch up with friends over a drink or two. They also offer Shisha. Their beverage menu features a good selection of cocktails, mocktail and other spirits. The food menu is vast and varied. It has dishes from Italian, Indian, Arabic and Chinese cuisines.
We started with drinks first, after having a glass of Red Wine, we ordered two of their cocktails – Devil and Skyline. Both the cocktails were mixed well and tasted great. If you like a cocktail with a spicy kick then you should definitely try their Devil.
As a vegetarian I only tried their veg options, they’ve good variety for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. We were served a complimentary bowl of Nuts and Olives.
Appetizer
As our appetizer, we ordered the Veg Platter. It is a big platter that can be shared between 3 people and the veg platter had Jalapeño Cheese Poppers, Crispy Mushrooms, Tandoori Broccoli and Panner Tikka.
With the exception of jalapeño cheese poppers, we liked everything else. The poppers were bland and didn’t have any taste or flavor. The crispy mushrooms was the main highlight among the appetizers as it was crisp and extremely tasty.
Mains
We ordered classic and comforting Indian food for our main course like creamy and delicious Dal Makhani, flavorful Veg Biryani, Raita and Roti.
Dessert
We ended our evening with their delightful Kulfi Falooda.
We enjoyed our evening at Estrellas Rooftop Lounge. The drinks, the food, the service, the view and the atmosphere was good.
