Carnival By Tresind, one of the top five Indian restaurants in Dubai launched their Friday brunch this month. I was one of the few early birds to check out their Friday brunch offering on the day they launched it.
It felt good to visit Carnival again after my first visit last year. We were welcomed Carnival style with fun bubbles. Loved the carnival like atmosphere in the restaurant.
Carnival By Tresind offers live music for their Friday brunch. So you can expect a lively and energetic vibe while you enjoy your brunch.
Their Friday brunch is a relaxed sit-down affair, no lining up near a buffet table and pile up food on your plate. From appetizers to desserts, everything is brought to your table.
Whether you are a vegetarian or a non vegetarian, their brunch offers great options to both. They have two kinds of package- with alcohol and without alcohol. We opted for the package with alcohol.
While we were going through their brunch menu, we were served drinks. If you are a Sangria lover like me, you’ll be bowled over by their presentation. The Sangria was served in plastic cover that was tied up with a string and it was hanging on a miniature tree. How cool is that!
I loved their Raspberry Martini with rosemary smoke which had a subtle smoky flavor.
As a pre starter, we were served Pink Pani Puri. This pomegranate based pink pani puri is in honor of breast cancer awareness.
The Salad was made in front of us by Chef Himanshu himself. From a trolley filled with pots of herbs and plants, the chef plucked the herbs and leaves to be used for our salad and dressed it up in Japanese Mayo and chili sauce. Never had a freshest salad than this.
Selection of freshly baked Bread arrived in a trolley and we could choose whatever we liked. To go with the bread, we were served four different kinds of homemade butter and two delicious dips.
Carnival serves up one of the best Vada Pav in town. It was made in front of us with a toolbox filled with ingredients.
Move over dosa and the regular waffle, Carnival introduces Dosa Waffle to Dubai. Made with dosa batter on a waffle machine, these delightful crispy Dosa Waffle are served with potato masala, sambhar and coconut chutney. Its a definite must-try.
Next dish to arrive was the Canapé Platter, it consisted of a wooden tray with small mini trays and bowl filled with spicy edamame, palak paneer wonton, mock meat cutlet, smoked eggplant vol au vent and dal pate with miniature phulka. Each and every thing that was served in this platter was outstanding. Culinary creativity at its best.
As a Palate Cleanser, we were served smoked strawberry topped with black sesame seeds.
How about having a family picnic indoors? That’s what we did. Carnival’s Family Picnic, came in a picnic basket filled with tiffin boxes. It consisted of jeera aloo, chana masala, cucumber raita, puri and mango pickle. It was packed with authentic Indian taste and homemade flavor.
For the Mains, you can select the curries of your choice. There is Biryani as well. There was dum aloo, rasgulla curry and sarson ka saag. I had the sarson ka saag with freshly baked makai ki roti. Can’t tell you how delicious it was.
It was time for desserts now. They have a Dessert Trolley with a good selection of bite sized desserts like macaroons, red velvet croissants, chocolate cake, cupcakes and more.
We also got to experience the live making of Gajak with caramel, peanuts and chocolate with ice cream. Not only was it a visual treat for the eyes, it also tasted rich and indulgent.
I enjoyed my Friday brunch experience at Carnival By Tresind. Its one of the must-visit brunches in Dubai. The food, the drinks, the service and the ambience is fantastic. And the best part, their Friday brunch is very reasonable and affordable.
