Mediterranean Market Brunch at Morah Restaurant and Bar-JW Marriott Marquis

Morah
Morah Restaurant and Bar opened it’s doors recently. It’s conceptualized by the same group who started the award-winning Weslodge Saloon. Morah offers breathtaking views and an amazing new spin on Regional Cuisine. Morah launched their Friday brunch-Mediterranean Market Brunch and I was one of the lucky diners invited to the launch.

Morah is located on the 71st and 72nd floor of the JW Marriott Marquis in Business Bay. Morah offers a stunning two-story space that features a bar and lounge level on the top and a lower dining level.

The focal point of the interiors in Morah is the spiral staircase and custom-made crystal chandelier. The petal ceiling design in the shape of a flower adds a feminine touch to the place.

Spiral staircase
The bar and lounge area on the second level features a large whitewashed bar with brass detailing and antique mirrors which allows guests views of the gorgeous interior and panoramic views of Dubai.

The ultra fine elegance is continued throughout the lower dining area, which presents a pastel hues of blue, peach and turquoise colors as well as a feature wall that displays a playful graphic of a mermaid tail.

Bar area
The dining level offers an ultimate VIP experience for diners with a private booth with a seating capacity of six. The regular seating is situated near the middle of the staircase.

The menu at Morah showcases regional spices and flavors from the coastal shorelines of the Mediterranean. You can expect an extensive list of mezze for appetizers, mains that can be shared and exquisite desserts. The good selection of variety ranges from lamb, duck, octopus to daily selection of fresh fish to vegetarian options.

Mezze selection
The Mediterranean Market Brunch offers Mezze from the Mezze Bar. We went to the Mezze bar and helped ourselves to small plates of Mixed olives, Barbari bread, Oysters, Burrata with vine ripened tomatoes, Tuna, Baby gem salad and Roasted red beets. Each and everything we tried was full of great taste and flavor.

Pide
The Mains were served at our table. They consisted of dishes like Wagyu sliders, Black cod, USDA prime striploin, variety of Pide, hot mezze selection, Shakshouka, Turkish Manti dumplings, Kale rice, Roasted Cauliflower and more. All the dishes that we tried had one thing in common, they were packed with flavor.

Orange blossom mousse
As for the Desserts, there was a buffet counter  shaped like a gigantic cake from where we picked up artistically presented desserts. There was also a station for the ice creams and frozen yogurts. Must-tries from the desserts were the Orange blossom mousse, Strawberry cheesecake Qatayef, Hazelnut chocolate mousse and Brioche loukamades.

Cocktail bar
From their Cocktail Bar we tried some of their signature drinks like Rose Gulab, The Fox and The Businessman. There was also a Chivas trolley and girls serving Tequila.

Entertainment in the form of belly dancing and DJ spinning some amazing music enhanced our dining experience. The food, the service, the atmosphere and the music was outstanding. The Morah’s Mediterranean Market Brunch is a perfect event to add to your weekend calendar.

    1. Thanks Shaun😊 I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their brunch. It does have many similarities with Weslodge. I am sure, you will like Morah. Tequila girls were a big hit😬
