Last Friday, hubby and I were on a lookout for a cosy place in Sheikh Zayed road for lunch. And that’s how we discovered Saj Bistro. It not only offered delicious and healthy food, the pricing was easy on the pocket too. And here’s the best part, they are open 24 hours.
Saj Bistro is located in the Ground Floor of the Aspin Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road. It serves East Mediterranean Cuisine with a creative twist. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and all day dining. It’s a great place to grab a quick bite.

What we ordered
Beverages
Wild Berry Swril and Peach Fuzz are their refreshingly good blended drinks. It was a great way to start our culinary journey with these drinks. Saj Bistro also offers fresh juices, lemonade, Laban Aryan, soft drinks, hot beverages like coffee and tea, apart from blended drinks.
Food
Saj Bistro offers good selection for non vegetarians, the vegetarians have limited choice comparatively.
Pomegranate Argula Salad not only looked gorgeous, tasted amazing too. It had argula, baby spinach, Pomegranate, goat cheese in a pomegranate vinaigrette and was topped with sliced strawberries and toasted almonds.
Dhal Duo was their version of Indian dal that was served with cool Raita and warm Saj Tortillas. It was a simple yet delicious dish. A must-try at Saj Bistro.
Homemade Spice blend is their specialty spice made in-house by their chef. It is a complimentary offering to all the guests. It is a combination of various spices and goes well with all the dishes. We loved it.
Manakish, we tried 2 kinds of Manakish-Thyme and Akkawi Cheese. It was freshly baked in their kitchen with olive oil and toasted sesame. The Thyme Manakish had a thyme spread and the Akkawi one had melted Akkawi cheese. It was light and tasty.
Veggie Wrap was made with arugula, spinach, peppers, figs, goat cheese, pomegranate vinaigrette and wrapped with their warm fresh Saj bread. It was hearty, flavorful and delicious.
Dessert
Lotus Waffle is a must-have dessert for all lotus lovers. In fact, I was surprised to see my hubby who is not a dessert fan, relish this dessert. Warm lotus waffle was topped with vanilla ice cream and crunchy caramel sauce. Hands down, one of the best lotus based desserts in Dubai.
Finally
Saj Bistro served simple, tasty, healthy and homemade food. The service and the ambience enhanced our dining experience.
