Dalloyau-Mirdif City Centre

Dalloyau, the well known French Maison de Gastronomie opened it’s 3rd outlet in Mirdif Ciry Centre, Dubai. The history of this place dates back to 1600’s. The Dalloyau brand is steeped in luxurious heritage, with Charles Dalloyau being personally hired by King Louis XIV in 1862.

Dalloyau has over 30 restaurants across the globe. I was invited to the launch of their latest outlet, around the last week of September.

Located in the Central Galleria in the Ground floor of the Mirdif City Centre, it is hard to miss this place- with beautiful interiors and bright lights. Be ready to be welcomed by the delicious sight of colorful macaroons, dainty looking cakes and other sweet treats.

Dalloyau has a Parisian vibe to it-from the furniture to the tableware and cutlery. It is a mid sized cafe with an inviting setting. Dalloyau is a perfect place for coffee and cakes or breakfast/lunch/dinner.

Dalloyau not only offers macaroons, cakes and desserts with coffee/tea, it also has a full menu of mouthwatering French cuisine.

Raspberry Mojito
As a welcome drink, I was served a refreshing glass of Raspberry Mojito (mocktail). Dalloyau also offers fresh juices, soft drinks, milkshakes, mocktails, flavored water and hot beverages like coffee and tea.

Spinach and pumpkin Quiche
I ordered a Spinach And Pumpkin Quiche as my starter. It was served along with a salad. My wait for the best quiche in Dubai is over, I really don’t remember when was the last time that I had such a fantastic quiche. It just took me couple of minutes to polish off this baked beauty.

Risotto and Sea bass
From their main course menu, I ordered the Asparagus Risotto, it had smooth asparagus purée loaded with grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. It was delicious and perfect quantity for one person.

My friend tried their Sea Bass Fillet with tomato confit on top of an artichoke purée that was accompanied with potato gratin. She totally loved it.

For desserts I tried both their signature cakes-the famous three layered Opera Cake with rich chocolate ganache and the gluten free Dalloyau. It is a difficult question, if you asked me, which one I liked better! Both of them were deliciously different, rich and tasty in their own way.

I also sampled two different flavors of their famous macaroons-Salted Butter Caramel and Orange Blossom. Some of the best macaroons you can lay your hands on, crisp from outside and chewy from inside. They have some amazing flavors too. On one of my mall crawls, I’ll definitely try all the flavors.

Ended my meal with a delicious cup of Coffee. It was a delightful evening with glorious food. I can’t wait to come back again…au revoir!
