Tony Roma’s-Ibn Battuta Mall

Tony Roma's
Having a Tony Roma’s outlet close to my house, I was always tempted to visit it and ditched it thinking that, ‘being a vegetarian, I’ll not get anything to eat’. A movie date with hubby got me to the doors of Tony Roma’s recently. Are there good options for vegetarians apart from salads? The answer is Yes! And I am glad that I finally visited them.

First opened in Miami, Florida in 1972, Tony Roma’s has over 150 locations all over the world. They are known for their signature Steaks, succulent ribs, seafood and more.

Tony Roma’s has various locations in Dubai, we visited their Ibn Battuta Mall outlet, that is situated in the China Court of the mall.

Tony Roma’s is a casual dining restaurant with simple and minimalistic decor. It has a typical American Diner look. You can expect welcoming and friendly service. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Non alcoholic drinks
We started our dinner with their refreshing Mocktails. They also serve fresh juices, shakes, soft drinks, coffee and tea.

Their menu offers great appetizers, salads, sides, burgers, deli sandwiches, pastas, steaks, ribs, chicken, seafood and desserts.

Nachos
We were served a complimentary bowl of Nachos and Salsa. It was a perfect way to start our meal with the crunchy Nachos with tangy salsa.

Fried Mushrooms
They have around 6 vegetarian appetizers, we opted for the highly recommended TR Mushrooms. It was amazing. Perfectly fried and breaded mushrooms were served with honey mustard dressing for dipping.

Portobello Mushroom Burger
Next, we had their Grilled Portbello Burger that was served with French Fries. It was a delicious and great tasting burger with grilled portobello, roasted red bell peppers, caramelized onions, tomatoes, lettuce, melted Swiss cheese and their special sun dried pesto sauce.

Linguine pasta
From the pasta section, we ordered the Linguine Vegetariani, it had linguine pasta in creamy white sauce with veggies and it was topped with crumbled feta cheese. It was good. The portion size was big and can be easily shared between two people.

Apple Crisp A La Mode
For dessert, we had Take Two that is 2 desserts in one platter-Apple Crisp A La Mode and Chocolate Brownie Sundae. It was fantastic, we especially loved the chocolate brownie sundae. It had soft gooey brownie with hot chocolate and vanilla ice cream…delicious!

The portion size of the food is huge and the pricing is reasonable. Good food that is matched with great hospitality.
