As much as I like to visit fancy five star hotel restaurants for a meal, I also love to visit small independent restaurants too. My search for good food, brought me to the doors of Buzz Adda. I know, such a cool name right! If you are looking for freshly cooked, home style Indian food-Buzz Adda is the place for you. Does Buzz Adda has the buzz factor? Let’s find out.
Located in the O Cluster of Jumeirah Lake Towers, Buzz Adda is a small and vibrant restaurant. Bright colored furniture, quirky pictures on the wall and lively background music enhanced our dining experience at Buzz Adda.
On a Thursday early evening, when I reached the restaurant with my family, I was welcomed by the owners, Mrs and Mr. Bajaj. The owners are passionately dedicated to everything about the restaurant. We ordered our food as per their recommendation.
The menu of Buzz Adda is small, simple and sleek. Their beverage list consists of a variety of tea, coffee, fresh juices, milkshakes, lemonade, soft drinks and traditional Indian drinks like Jal jeera, Rooh Afza, Lassi, Buttermilk, Aam Panna and Sharbat.
We ordered Kulukki Sharbat and Spicy Buttermilk. Both the drinks were refreshing, we especially liked the Kulukki Sharbat-it had a tasty blend of lemon, mint and honey. Perfect drink to beat the Dubai heat.
They have a separate breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and on weekends and public holidays they offer an All-Day-Desi-Breakfast. There is also an option of customizing your lunch and dinner meal, if you go for their Thali/platter or combo meal. Their lunch and dinner combo meals changes every day, so no matter on whichever day, you visit or order, you will get to try different dishes. Amazing, isn’t it!
We started off with Oats Idli, which is from their morning buzz section. Healthy, super-soft and moist Oats Idli was served with tomato chutney. It was excellent. I will definitely try to make it at home.
As our starter, we tried the Kaale Chane Kebab. This kebab had well balanced flavors and was served along with mint chutney. Kaale Chane Kebab was really good.
Next, we ordered their Paneer Kathi Roll. The Chapati for the roll was made with wholewheat flour and the paneer filling was slightly spicy and very tasty. The Paneer Kathi Roll was served with homemade masala chips.
Kaale Chane, Poori and Halwa is one of their best sellers. It also happens to be my comfort food. So we had to order it. What a delicious combination it was. A definite must-try, if you ask me.
There are 3 kinds of meal combo- Basic, Mini and Deluxe. We opted for the mini vegetarian combo. It consisted of a salad, dal, 2 sabzis, raita, Chapati and rice. The portion size was perfect and each and every dish was tasty, non oily and had a homemade flavor.
They also offer few desserts in their menu. We ordered the Gajar Halwa. It was rich, fragrant and extremely delicious. It was the best way to end a great meal.
Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience. We loved the fact that the food was non oily, didn’t have any artificial food coloring and had a homemade flavor, freshness and taste.
The food, the service and the atmosphere is good. The pricing is extremely reasonable and affordable. Definitely, recommend Buzz Adda to my friends and family.
