Arabiska Restaurant & Cafe is a restaurant specializing in Arabic food, they also offer international cuisine. Their menu is elaborate with a wide variety of food offerings.
Arabiska is located at Palm Views West Building, Palm Jumeirah. If you are familiar with the area, it is easy to get there. But like me if you are unfamiliar with that part of the city, it is best to use GPS. That’s what I did and reached the place easily. I liked the fact that there are sign boards to Arabiska everywhere once you reach Palm Jumeirah. That made it easier to get to the restaurant.
The interiors of Arabiska is Middle Eastern inspired-from furniture to lighting and upholstery everything has a Middle Eastern touch. It is a place where traditional meets modern. The setting is gorgeous. Loved the green plants hanging on the door outside and walls inside. Arabiska is a very spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has a great view of Palm Jumeriah.
They offer an amazing variety of Shisha. It is a place you can relax and enjoy the Arabic music in the background and play a game of backgammon. They also have a few plasma television sets on their walls. Some of the guests were enjoying a game of football on the Telly when I went there for dinner. Arabiska is a great place to chill out with family or friends.
After going through their vast menu, we decided to go for Arabic food mostly and for the mains we chose from the international cuisine.
We started of with a round of drinks. Their beverage list consists of fresh juices, soft drinks, coffee and tea. We had cocktail juices(mixed fruit juice).
Hubby had the drink Arabiska Dream and I had the drink Country Club. Both the drinks had layers of different fruit juices with no added water or sugar. The juices were topped with honey and it was refreshing.
Here’s what we ordered-Falafel, Hummus Beiruti, Baba Ghanouj and Muhamara. We were also offered Fresh Bread. For the mains we ordered Spinach Creamy Ravioli. They have good options for non vegetarians. As for the vegetarians the options are limited.
Falafel was quite different from what I had in other restaurants. It was made in Egyptian style where chickpeas were replaced by fava beans and so it was lighter and more moist than usual . It came along with a dip.
Hummus Beiruti was amazing, this simple dish was creamy and tasty.
Baba Ghanouj made with eggplant, lemon juice, tahini, sea salt and various other seasoning was rich and smoky.
Muhamara was perfectly spiced with roasted red pepper flavor. It was delicious.
The Bread basket is complimentary and it consisted of freshly baked Arabic bread, bread sticks and the regular bread. We loved the freshly baked Arabic bread. It went well with our cold Mezze.
We had Spinach Creamy Ravioli for our mains. It was a delicious combination of ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese. It was on the heavier side but nevertheless tasted good.
We were too stuffed and decided to ditch the desserts. Their Umm Ali, Konafa and Cheesecake looked good. Definitely on our next visit we will try their dessert.
Overall we had a great experience. The food is good, the service is quick and efficient and the ambience is beautiful. The portion size of the dishes are big and the pricing is reasonable. You can expect warm and welcoming hospitality from the staff. Arabiska is worth visiting, I’ll surely be back.
