82 American Diner- Authentic American Dining experience

Recently I was invited to a tasting session at 82 American Diner. As the name suggests they serve American cuisine. 82 American Diner is a family friendly diner. It is an American chain of restaurant, that first started in Tennessee, more than thirty years ago. They opened the first diner on Route 82 in Tennessee and hence the name. Interesting isn’t it?

82 American Diner recently opened in Dubai and they already have four branches. I visited their Burjuman Center branch.

They are located on the level 3 of the Burjuman Center. The location is very convenient. Coincidentally I had passed by their restaurant few times and not tried their food.

82 American Diner has a typical American Diner vibe. It is a mid size restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The ambience is bright, cheerful and peppy. I liked the red and white combination in their interiors. This casual American  diner is family friendly. If you are sitting inside the diner, you will feel like you are dining in one of the diners in US of A. Thumbs up for the authentic American dining experience.

82 American Diner is known for ‘All you can eat’ portions of their cooked to order meals at an affordable price. They offer fresh and organic alternative to fast food. All their meals are freshly cooked in-store.

My partner at this tasting session was my teenage son. He is quite an expert when it comes to American cuisine and as per his choice we ordered Maltesers Milkshake.

I am not a milkshake person and asked them to give me a small portion. I must say it was amazing. It had an utterly delicious mix of ice cream, milk and Maltesers. The portion is huge.

Their beverage list consists of milkshakes, fresh juices, coffee, tea, lemonade and soft drinks.(free refills)

We had garlic bread with spicy salsa as our appetizer. It was perfectly made, it was neither greasy or dry. It was soft and crunchy. It was baked freshly in-house. The spicy salsa made a great dip and went well with the garlic bread.

We had Penne Pasta with mushroom cheese sauce, veggie burger, regular fries and curly fries next.

Penne Pasta with mushroom cheese sauce- It was delicious, creamy and full of flavor. It comes with two slices of garlic  cheese bread.

Veggie Burger-  The burgers are big in size and I surprised myself by finishing the whole thing off.  The patty was freshly made with toppings and sauce of my choice. The burger is worth trying. I only wish they introduce more vegetarian options for the burgers. All their burgers come with fries in the side.  What I really liked was that they don’t charge extra for the toppings and sauces. You can have as much as you like.

Fries- The regular fries are the basic fries, nothing fancy. Curly fries were really good and crispy.

Their menu offers breakfast combos like eggs, omelette, pancakes, burrito and  French toast. They also serve salads,Chilli cheese nachos, garlic bread, burgers, steaks, quesadillas, hotdogs, pastas and wraps.

They have limited but good dessert options. We had the red velvet cake. It was moist, sweet and tasty.

The portion size is huge. The pricing is reasonable. The service is efficient and helpful. The food is fresh and tasty. You will be spoilt for choice while choosing a burger, as they have a great variety. I would definitely like to recommend 82 American Diner. We had an authentic American diner experience and will come back again.
