Friday Brunch is very popular in Dubai, whether you are a resident or a tourist. If you are a tourist, your trip is incomplete without brunching on a Friday.
There are many types of Friday brunches in Dubai. Street Art Brunch concept is very unique and new in Dubai and I was really intrigued when I got an invite to Street Art Brunch at Nine7One at The Oberoi Hotel. It is a new brunch which they have introduced recently.
Hubby and me reached Nine7One at 1:00 in the noon to check out the new brunch in town. We were very curious and wanted to find what this Street Art brunch had to offer.
The minute we entered, we realized we were going to have an interesting afternoon. The ambience of the place was colourful , vibrant and modern street style market. The place has a contemporary international Street fair vibe with graffiti, retro bicycles and the works. We felt like we were on a holiday somewhere else.
Yes, we started street walking and first on our street was Fromage and Charcuterie walk. It had great selection of artisan cheeses, pickled hearings, smoked river trout, turkey chorizo, house smoked lamb etc. They also had great variety of breads.
Two elegant ladies from The Oyster Elite Co came by each table and offered fresh quality oysters.
We were served a chilled glass of prosecco. After that we hit their three bar station for some cocktails. We enjoyed the strawberry Mojito and daiquiri.
The in-house DJ was playing fabulous music.
I had fun donning an apron and making my own Som Tam Thai salad. Next, up the street was delectable treats from Japan, Peru and Mexico. We tried the sushi, Tacos and quesadillas.
We enjoyed the salad corner. They use organic UAE grown vegetables with a good selection of dressing.
The Indian street walk was amazing with amazing array of dishes from south India and north India. We liked the dosa, vadapav and all the chaats.
Innovative street food had the South African specialty of Indian origin Bunny Chao. It was awesome and perfectly made. I am craving for it, just writing about it.
The Black diamond magic station had all the char grilled meats, seafood and sausages. It also had Arabic mezzeh and selection of condiments.
I would suggest you all to keep a huge space in your tummies for desserts. The variety is mind boggling. They offer molecular desserts which are innovative. We loved the Dragon’s breath, Mojito burger and the dessert made with Bellini foam. The tiramisu, fresh banana doughnuts, Gajar ka halwa, cakes and gelato was heavenly. I wish I could taste everything. The next time I will starve myself and come, so that I can make justice to the food at Nine7One.
Street art Brunch at Nine7One is a very unique brunch that I have ever been to. We loved the friendly and lively atmosphere, the good food and interactive stations. We had an amazing and relaxed time. The service was impeccable. Be ready to be transported to a bustling market with gourmet street food from all across the world.
