We celebrated the end of summer by booking a staycation at Shangri–La Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi.
Nestled between a pristine stretch of white sand beach and lush gardens, Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri exudes classic Arabesque style and serenity right in the heart of the dynamic UAE capital.
The complex offers 213 rooms and suites, 6 private villas, each consisting of private pools and four bedrooms and 160 serviced apartments. There are 4 restaurants and bars, a lobby lounge, spa, private beach and infinity pool.
The lobby of the hotel is regal with a blend of Arabesque and modern interiors. Our check-in and check-out was easy and swift. We stayed in the Horizon Club Deluxe King room with the breathtaking views of the Khor Al Maqta Creek and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
The property offers extensive range of services and facilities and their dedicated staff caters to all the needs of the guests. The facilities include 24 hours front desk and business center, conference rooms, hospitality lounge, car park and free WiFi.
Recreational facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, spa, swimming pools, beauty salon and gift shops. Dining options at the property consists of their signature restaurant Shang Palace, all-day dining restaurant Sofra Bld, Bord Eau by Nicolas Isnard for French cuisine, Lobby Lounge, Al Hanah Bar and the Mediterranean-inspired beach lounge Amalfi Beach Lounge.
Our Suite
Our spacious and luxurious suite with a big balcony had waterfront views. The bathroom was huge, it had a bathtub, stand-up shower, sink with the mirror on the wall and a toilet area. Bathroom amenities featured premium quality toiletries like soaps, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, bath salt, dental kit, shaving set and a hair dryer.

Our Stay Experience
We had a memorable stay, loved our warm and welcoming suite. Shangrila-La Abu Dhabi is one of the best 5 star properties in the capital and whether it is business or pleasure, it is the ideal place to stay.
I especially enjoyed The Gardens of Babylon brunch at Sofra Bld, Tea Ceremony by Master Liu Ping at Shang Palace, 4-course tasting menu at Bord Eau, Negroni Week at the sophisticated Al Hanah Bar and the unforgettable breakfast on the traditional Abra boat.
The sunset from the infinity pool was magical and we also enjoyed the evening cocktail and canapés at Horizon Club.
Overall we had a wonderful staycation. The property, the location, the view, the suite, the facilities and the hospitality were incredible.
